The Padmasambhava Center for Charitable Activities is a registered organization formed by a group of like minded people who believe in reaching out with a helping hand wherever help is needed. WHY PADMASAMBHAVA
The source of this inspiration is the legendary being, Padmasambhava Rinpoche, who embodies the cosmic timeless principles of boundless compassion, protection and wisdom. His special quali
ty is his power to give his blessings instantly to whoever prays to him, and whatever is prayed for, he has the power to grant the wish immediately. In this age where beings are immersed in constant suffering from the poisons of ignorance, aggression and attachments, where negative emotions are more turbulent than before and where terrible suffering comes from illness, poverty, famine, hunger and the threat of war, the blessings of Guru Rinpoche, as he is called, are even quicker to act. Each individual member of the team comprising Padmasambhava Center for Charitable Activities has personally experienced his blessings in their hour of need repeatedly. This organization is an attempt to express their gratitude to him as well as offer their services as a channel, to extend help for alleviating the suffering of other sentient beings. THE LOGO
Padmasambhava also means “born of the lotus flower”. Padma or the lotus flower rises from the fetid and murky depths of a stagnant muddy pond towards the sun and reveals its pure, sublime beauty in full glory – thus symbolizing the true potential of each soul to rise above the mud of our problems, delusions attachments and karma towards the divine light of spiritual evolution; the hope and possibility of something sublimely beautiful emerging from an ugly and distasteful condition
“One who performs his duty without attachment, surrendering the results unto the Supreme Lord, is unaffected by sinful action, as the lotus is untouched by water.”
— Bhagavad Gita 5.10
Padma is also a name associated with the Goddess Lakshmi, whose blessings of abundance and bounty empowers the compassion of Lord Vishnu to provide for and preserve all divine creation
According to esoteric teachings, the energy or force centres, also called the chakras, situated in the human energy system look like lotuses. In Vedic teachings, the Hrit Padma chakra, situated just below the Heart or Anahata chakra, has eight petals and is believed to be the seat of the Supreme Creator. It is also known as the Sacred Heart and is considered to be the seat of the soul, where God, as the essence of our own eternal being, resides. The balancing force of yin and yang in the middle is used to describe how polar or seemingly contrary forces are interconnected and interdependent in the natural world; opposites thus only exist in relation to each other and symbolize the eternal drama of light and darkness that gets perpetually played out from time immemorial. It is literally the diagram of the Supreme Ultimate
The logo adopted by the Padmasambhava Center for Charitable Activities is thus an eight petalled lotus with balancing force of yin and yang in the middle. For this team of servers, the logo is a constant reminder that service has to be given to all – no matter what colour or form the recipient belongs or represents – because all are the manifestations of the Supreme Creator.
