An evening of poetry, music, and shared cultural heritage unfolded as the British Council and IBSA came together on Friday, May 15, to celebrate Kobiguru Rabindranath Tagore through Echoes of Harmony: Tagore in UK.

The packed auditorium at the British Council was captivated by an immersive blend of recitation, narration, songs, and music, drawing together an eclectic audience from across the city. Curated by Korak Basu along with a talented ensemble of singers and performers - Pradip Dutta, Rinadolon Bandopadhya, Subrata Babu Mukherjee and Anjan Bandopadhyay, the evening featured deeply moving recitations by Swati Gautam and Ipsita Ganguli.

The programme concluded with a soulful rendition of Purano Shei Diner Kotha โ€” inspired by Robert Burns โ€” beautifully reflecting a shared cultural legacy and the timeless bonds of human connection.
