🎨 Art Beyond Boundaries: Empowering Tribal Children Across West Bengal
At Kolkata Angikar, we believe creativity can transform lives—no matter where a child comes from. We are proud to launch our Drawing & Art Education Program for Tribal Children, reaching underserved communities across West Bengal, including the heritage Shabar tribes.
From the forests of Purulia to the riverbanks of Murshidabad and the remote islands of the Sundarbans, we are bringing colors, creativity, and confidence into young lives.
📍 Our Program Locations:
✅ Gagada Village, Purulia – Supporting Shabar tribal children to express their stories through art
✅ Kandi & Nabgram, Murshidabad – Encouraging creativity in rural classrooms
✅ Kumirmari, Sundarbans – Delivering art education in remote island communities
✏️ Why Art Matters
For these children, art is more than a skill—it’s a powerful tool for self-expression, emotional healing, and cultural identity. A simple drawing book can become a gateway to confidence, imagination, and hope.
🎨 How You Can Support This Mission
🖍️ Donate art supplies (pencils, crayons, sketchbooks)
💰 Sponsor art classes for underprivileged children
✏️ Volunteer as an art mentor and inspire young minds
Together, we can transform classrooms into creative spaces and give every child a voice through art.
