Rahara Abhikshan Abhikshan is an independent, registered non-profit organisation dedicated to building a better tomorrow for the needy children and women since 1995 onward

In the first half of the nineties, the founding members who were residents and frequent visitors to Rahara, felt the need to do something to improve the way of life of the slum dwellers living beside the railway tracks. Various options of helping them earn a better livelihood were thought of, and the pressing need for the children to attend school was identified as the inception. Shiksha Kendra, a

comprehensive development centre for the first generation learner, came into being. With time many other ideas were pursued to transform a strive into a well-planned journey.
