Open Door 2,0: Festival of Inclusivity to be held at Lake Road on 18 January 2026, 12pm to 7pm. This year along with children with physical and learning challenges, we are also including children who are cancer fighters and thalassemia affected.

What is Open Door?

It is simply a street carnival for children. But with a much bigger purpose. To create a platform to include those who come from normal schools, who are autistic, are differently-abled, are born with thalassemia, or are cancer warriors – it is a powerful message of inclusivity.

Backed by the thought: Why should children be excluded from society just because they are differently challenged? We did a pilot in 2025.

The response was motivating.

• More than 300 children participated
• More than 7000 people walked in to experience Including political leaders, celebrities and renowned personalities.

World Polio Day – 24th October 2025

Every year on October 24, the world unites to raise awareness about polio eradication and celebrate the tireless efforts of health workers, volunteers, and organizations like Rotary International and the World Health Organization (WHO) that continue to fight for a polio-free world.

Why It Matters:
Polio is a crippling and potentially deadly infectious disease that primarily affects children under 5. Thanks to global vaccination drives, cases have been reduced by over 99% since 1988.

Rotary’s Role:
Rotary launched the PolioPlus program in 1985 and remains a key partner in the Global Polio Eradication Initiative (GPEI) — helping immunize over 2.5 billion children worldwide.

How You Can Contribute:

Spread awareness in your community

Support vaccination campaigns

Share educational posts and stories

Donate to the End Polio Fund

Together, we can make history — a world where no child suffers from polio again.
