In observance of Rotary Mother and Child Health Month, Rotary Club of Calcutta Newbies and Rotary Club of Rabindra Sarobar jointly organized an Awareness Camp for Mothers and Children at Bangur Hospital today at 11:00 AM.

The program began with the felicitation of the attending doctor for his service to maternal and child health.
He then conducted an insightful 20-minute session on the Dos and Don’ts before, during, and after pregnancy, addressing expectant mothers and caregivers.

Pamphlets on maternal health, nutrition, immunization, and hygiene were distributed among patients, family members, and at the OPD ticket counters.

Goodie bags were also distributed to patients as a token of care and encouragement.

Rotarians interacted with beneficiaries and emphasized the importance of regular health check-ups and awareness for healthier mothers and children.

A data base has been created for future follow ups

The initiative was well received by hospital staff and patients, and both clubs reaffirmed their commitment to supporting healthier families and communities through continued service projects.

*Rotary Club of Calcutta Newbies* and *Rotary Club of Rabindra Sarobar* have joined hands to observe *Rotary Mother and Child Month*.

Together, they are committed to spreading awareness and supporting initiatives that ensure better health, nutrition, and care for mothers and children in our community.

In today's digital age, where both children and adults are increasingly consumed by mobile phones and other digital distractions, chess serves as a wholesome alternative and an effective means to mitigate depression and other mental health concerns. Rotary Club of Calcutta Newbies is proud to be the cause partner for the chess tournament on World Chess Day.
