Pratham Padakshep Welfare Society. We lend our hands to the specially abled children and their parents who face difficulties in leading a socially accepted normal life.

We provide vocational training cm shelter workshop, skill-development, self-help relaxation, play through different therapies to these children to overcome the challenges and impediments of their lives, so that they can make their dreams to be possible and practical as per their level. Children as per their level are trained in pre-vocational and vocational skills along with developing social and

employ ability skills of children with special needs. Children are given various Therapies to develop their skills in socialization and communications. We have Sensory Integration Unit which stimulates individual’s sensory needs. It provides multi sensory therapy for tactile, visual, auditory, propriceptive and vestibular sensations. The OT department further provides opportunity for enhancing motor skills after sensory integration session. Computer with latest software is regularly used for overall development of the students. We have Theme Activities/ Celebrations to develop the socialisation skills. We have an Interdisciplinary Team of trained teachers......joined hands together to provide the assistance to each individually. We also have Training Provision for Parents and Professionals and Parents Consultation Unit.

Celebrating Independence Day Through Creativity & Inclusion!

At Pratham Padakshep, Independence Day became a celebration of creativity, participation, and joyful learning!

Our neurodivergent students proudly crafted their own tricolour caps through paper cutting and pasting, while exploring the colours of our National Flag through drawing and colouring.

Beyond the colours and creativity, every little activity was a meaningful opportunity to build fine-motor skills, hand-eye coordination, focus, following instructions, self-expression, and confidence.

Because at Pratham Padakshep, we believe that every child has the ability to create, participate, express, and shine in their own unique way.

Every little creation is more than a craft—it is a step towards confidence, independence, inclusion, and joyful learning.

আমাদের প্রিয় শিক্ষার্থীদের পক্ষ থেকে কবিগুরুর স্মৃতির প্রতি রইল ছোট্ট শ্রদ্ধার্ঘ্য।

A Day to Remember – World Music Day 2026.

Some moments become milestones, and this was one of them.

We are deeply honoured that Sourendro & Soumyajit invited the students of Pratham Padakshep Special School to perform at their prestigious World Music Day 2026 celebration.

Watching our special children share the stage with the legendary Shankar Mahadevan, alongside esteemed artists like Gulzar, Hariharan, Rekha Bhardwaj, and many other celebrated musicians, was a moment of immense pride and joy for all of us.

From the excitement of rehearsals to the applause after the final performance, our students embraced every moment with confidence, passion, and boundless enthusiasm. Their performance was a beautiful reminder that talent knows no barriers when given the right opportunity.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Sourendro & Soumyajit for creating a platform that truly celebrates inclusion through music and for making our children feel valued, encouraged, and celebrated.
