Principle 3 of Fair Trade reminds us that ethical trade is not just about products, but about protecting the people and craftsmanship behind them. Skills carry generations of knowledge and stories, but they can truly flourish only when supported by fair commercial practices.

The 1st Principle of Fair Trade reminds us that many artisans are not held back by talent, but by limited access to markets, resources and consistent opportunities.

When those doors begin to open, livelihoods grow stronger, confidence returns and self-sufficiency becomes possible, slowly yet surely.

This World Fair Trade Day, we begin a journey into what truly makes something fair. Where commerce is not just exchange, but respect. Where handicraft is not just creation, but dignity in every detail.

As Fashion Revolution Week draws to a close, the conversations it sparked continue to find their way into everyday choices.

Each step towards mindful fashion brings us closer to a system that values people, respects craft and honours the stories behind what we wear.

The momentum is here. Let it grow—with awareness, intent and care.

Every thread carries a life.

Amitava Basak, a weaver from Bengal, speaks not just of craft, but of continuity—of days shaped by labour, of skill passed through time, of a quiet determination to keep tradition alive. 🧵

Behind every weave is effort, dignity and a story that deserves to be seen and supported.

Stand with the hands that create.
Stand for lives woven with purpose.

A voice of conviction. A vision for change.

Roopa Mehta, CEO, Sasha, invites a quieter way of seeing fashion—away from excess, towards awareness and intention, where creation is mindful and consumption is considered.

As a committed member of the World Fair Trade Organization, this path honours people, cares for the planet and upholds dignity.

It is a gentle shift—
from haste to harmony, from excess to balance.

Through mindful choices and collective care, a more conscious future takes shape. ✊
