💙✨ PADODHWANI Child Care Initiative – A New Chapter of Service✨💙

We are delighted to share that baby Raima Hota (6 months old) has successfully undergone her heart surgery at Bhagirathi Neotia Hospital on 23rd June, now been got released and she is recovering fast. This marks the first project under our expanded PADODHWANI Child Care mission.

For the past six years, Rotary Club of Calcutta Laketown has been working with the Institute of Child Health (ICH), Kolkata, raising awareness and supporting surgeries to eliminate Talipes (clubfoot disease) entirely. Now, we are broadening our scope to help underprivileged children with any critical treatment needs.

With your continued support, we can carry this noble cause forward, bringing hope and healing to many more young lives.

We organized a free health checkup and gynecology consultation camp on January 21, 2025 for the underprivileged at Chunakhali village, Basanti, South 24 Parganas. It was an incredible day of giving back to the community, where 65 villagers benefited from essential health services.

In addition to the checkups and consultations, we also distributed free sanitary pads and medicines to ensure that everyone had access to basic healthcare and hygiene supplies.

A heartfelt thank to Sundarban Diganta Foundation, Motherdighi Palli Seva Sadan and everyone who made this camp possible, and to the villagers who participated and trusted us with their health and well-being. Together, we can make a difference!

We are excited to announce the launch of a Health Checkup Camp with the help of our RCC Matherdighi Palli Seva Sadan , aimed at providing essential medical services to those who may not have easy access to healthcare. This initiative is designed to serve the underprivileged communities ensuring that everyone has the opportunity for a healthier future. This project is part of our sustainable initiatives and this camp will take place twice a month.

📍 Location: Vill - Chunakhali, South 24 Parganas (about 20 km from Canning)

Our team of dedicated healthcare professionals will be offering free health checkups, consultations, medicines and basic medical tests without any cost. This is a step toward promoting wellness and addressing the healthcare gaps in our community. We believe that good health should be a right, not a privilege.

We are thrilled to announce the grand opening of the Adult Literacy Center at Bandipur, Rahara, North 24 Parganas.

Today marks a significant milestone as we open our doors to support individuals on their journey to literacy and personal growth. Our mission is to provide a welcoming environment where adults can enhance their reading, writing, and comprehension skills, unlocking new opportunities and building a brighter community and future.

We are excited to share that our blood donation camp on August 15, 2024 with Eternis Flat Owners Sports Committee, Madhyamgram was a resounding success! Thanks to the generous donors and the volunteers for their dedicated efforts. We have collected 50+ units of blood, which will make a significant difference for patients in need. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated and supported this life-saving cause. Together, we arecan make a real impact in our community!

We are delighted to announce the successful completion of our Mega Health & Eye Checkup Camp held on 4th August 2024 at Shobha Bazar - Beniatola Durga Mandir in association with Shobhabazar-Beniatola Charitable Society. The event was a tremendous success, thanks to the overwhelming participation from the community and the unwavering support of our dedicated volunteers and healthcare professionals.

During the camp, we provided comprehensive health screenings, including ECG, blood pressure check, blood sugar check, vision exams, and general health consultations. Over 120 underprivileged were benefited from this project.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our volunteers, and the medical team for their hard work and commitment. Your contributions made this event possible and impactful. We also thank the participants for taking proactive steps towards their health and well-being.
