২০ এপ্রিল CWF labs এ গ্রামীণ চিকিৎসকদের নিয়ে অনুষ্ঠিত হলো একটি আলোচনা সভা। এই আলোচনার মূল লক্ষ্য ছিল গ্রামীণ স্তরে গ্রামের মানুষদের জন্য স্বাস্থ্য ব্যবস্থাকে আরও শক্তিশালী করা। আমাদের উদ্দ্যেশ্য গ্রামের প্রতিটা বাড়িতে স্বল্পমূল্যে উন্নতমানের চিকিৎসা ব্যবস্থা পৌঁছে দেওয়া।
তাই স্বল্প মূল্যে উন্নত ও আধুনিক মানের চিকিৎসা ব্যবস্থা পেতে হলে অবশ্যই আসতে হবে CWF labs এ।

We extend our sincere thanks to the media for covering our recent initiative Olympism365 Bengal: A Psychosocial Evaluation for Women with Intellectual Disabilities. As part of the Advancing Olympism365 initiative, supported by the International Olympic Committee, Beyond Sports and Women Win, our initiative aims to provide year-round sports and GBV awareness training to 600 women with intellectual disabilities.

Visibility through responsible media coverage plays a crucial role in breaking barriers and changing how society perceives women with intellectual disabilities. Unfortunately, representation for this population remains significantly low, leading to limited awareness about their capabilities, aspirations, and the challenges they overcome every day — both in sport and beyond.

We look forward to continued collaboration to ensure that inclusion in sports becomes a lived reality, not just a conversation.

সিভিলিয়ান ওয়েলফেয়ার ফাউন্ডেশন (CWF) গত ১৫ বছর ধরে প্রান্তিক মানুষের অধিকার ও উন্নয়নের লক্ষ্যে কাজ করে আসছে। আমাদের কাজের মূল চারটি ক্ষেত্র হলো— জেন্ডার রাইটস, ডিসেবিলিটি, এডুকেশন এবং হেলথ।

গত দুই বছর ধরে আমরা একটি বিশেষ উদ্যোগ হিসেবে Gender Affirmative Paramedical Course পরিচালনা করছি, যা মূলত প্রান্তিক লিঙ্গের মানুষদের জন্য। এই কোর্সের মাধ্যমে আমরা তাদের ৬ মাসের প্যারামেডিকেল প্রশিক্ষণ প্রদান করি এবং পরবর্তীতে ৩ মাসের হাতে-কলমে ইন্টার্নশিপ বা প্র্যাকটিক্যাল ট্রেনিংয়ের ব্যবস্থা করি।

এই কোর্সে প্রশিক্ষণপ্রাপ্ত শিক্ষার্থীরা রক্ত সংগ্রহ (ফ্লেবোটমি), রিসেপশন ব্যবস্থাপনা, রক্ত পরীক্ষা সহ বিভিন্ন প্রাথমিক ডায়াগনস্টিক প্রক্রিয়ায় দক্ষতা অর্জন করে। কোর্স সম্পন্ন হওয়ার পর আমরা তাদের উপযুক্ত কর্মসংস্থানের ব্যবস্থাও করার চেষ্টা করি।

আমাদের মূল উদ্দেশ্য হলো— স্বাস্থ্যসেবা খাতে প্রান্তিক লিঙ্গের মানুষদের প্রতিষ্ঠিত করা এবং এমন একটি অন্তর্ভুক্তিমূলক পরিবেশ তৈরি করা, যেখানে তারা কোনো ধরনের বৈষম্যের শিকার না হয়ে মর্যাদার সঙ্গে কাজ করতে পারে।

বর্তমানে আমাদের একটি ব্যাচ কোর্সের অন্তিম পর্যায়ে রয়েছে এবং আমরা তাদের জন্য কর্মসংস্থানের সুযোগ খুঁজছি। আপনাদের প্রতিষ্ঠানে যদি কোনো উপযুক্ত সুযোগ থাকে, তবে সহযোগিতার হাত বাড়িয়ে দিলে আমরা অত্যন্ত উপকৃত হবো।

Unified Theatre turns 5!

Over the past five years, Unified Theatre has grown from a pilot project to a significant tool of inclusion and empowerment. What started off as an inclusive art form has over the years shown its potential to not only foster creativity and artistic abilities among children with disabilities but also foster psychosocial empowerment and self-confidence in other facets of their lives. With over 300 current participants across 4 districts, Unified Theatre has been one of our landmark projects.

And this journey wouldn’t have been possible without the consistent support of Servier. Their partnership has helped us build meaningful opportunities in inclusive performing arts and strengthen our vision of accessibility in theatre.

To mark this milestone, we hosted an event on 20th January at Jogesh Mime Academy, featuring two group performances — Sonar Kathi and Platform — along with a solo act by Poulami Ghosh, inspired by Helen Keller.

With a full house of attendees, the evening reaffirmed our commitment to inclusion through art.

5 Years of Unified Theatre!

What began as a small pilot with just 30 children — with and without intellectual disabilities — has now grown into a vibrant community of 300 individuals, proudly including the q***r community as well!

A heartfelt thank you to Dasgupta, our constant supporter and cheerleader through every stage of this journey.

To celebrate this milestone, we hosted a special event on 20th January at Jogesh Mime Academy, featuring two beautiful performances — Sonar Kathi and Platform — along with a stunning solo act by professional theatre artist Poulami Ghosh, inspired by the story of Helen Keller.

With over 250 people filling the hall, it was truly a powerful step toward building an inclusive world of performing arts.

Here’s to more stories, more voices, and more magic on stage!

লকডাউনের কঠিন সময়ে Civilian Welfare Foundation-এর হাত ধরেই ভারতে জন্ম নিয়েছিল এক অদ্বিতীয় ভাবনা—ইউনিফাইড থিয়েটার।

এটা কোনো প্রচলিত থিয়েটার নয়।

এটা এমন এক মঞ্চ, যেখানে নারী–পুরুষের বাঁধাধরা সংজ্ঞা ভেঙে, প্রতিবন্ধী ও অপ্রতিবন্ধী মানুষ, প্রান্তিক লিঙ্গের মানুষ এবং মূলস্রোতের মানুষ একসঙ্গে দাঁড়িয়ে নিজেদের গল্প বলে—একই মঞ্চে, সমান আলোয়।

দেখতে দেখতে Unified Theatre পৌঁছে গেল তার ৫ বছরে।

এই যাত্রার উদযাপন হলো ২০ জানুয়ারি, যোগেশ মাইম একাডেমিতে। সংস্কৃতির শহর কলকাতা সেদিন সাক্ষী থাকল এক অনন্য নাট্য সন্ধার।

এই বিশেষ দিনে মঞ্চস্থ হলো নুপুর সরকারের পরিচালনায় ‘সোনার কাঠি’ ও ‘প্ল্যাটফর্ম’—

যেখানে যাদের প্রায়ই “সামলানো কঠিন” বলা হয়, তারাই আত্মবিশ্বাসের সঙ্গে আলোয় দাঁড়িয়ে নিজেদের গল্প বলল।

এছাড়াও লাকিজির পরিচালনায়, পৌলমী ঘোষের অভিনয়ে ‘The Journey from Darkness to Light’ দর্শকদের হৃদয় ছুঁয়ে গেল।

এটাই ছিল Unified Theatre-এর প্রথম টিকিট শো। তাই আমাদের প্রতিটি সদস্যের মনে ছিল ভয়, সংশয় এবং অনেক অনিশ্চয়তা। তবে কখন যেন প্রতিটি দর্শক আসন ভরে উঠলো, এবং আমাদের মনে যুগিয়ে দিলো অনেক সাহস সাথে দিয়ে গেলো দায়িত্ব।

তবে এই যাত্রায় কিছু মানুষ কে ছাড়া কখনোই সম্ভব ছিল না। যেমন প্রথম থেকেই আমরা পাশে পেয়েছি DWish কে যারা না থাকলে পুরোটাই অসম্পূর্ণ ছিল এবং যারা প্রথম থেকে আমাদের সাহস দিয়েছে। এছাড়াও শিল্পীদের বাবা মায়েরা - তাদের পাশে না পেলে এই দিনটি কখনোই আসতো না। পরিশেষে অসংখ্য ধন্যবাদ আমাদের সকল দর্শককে, এভাবে আমাদের ভালবাসা দেওয়ার জন্য।

এই ভালোবাসা, এই বিশ্বাস—

আমাদের আগামী দিনের পথচলার সবচেয়ে বড় শক্তি।

ইউনিফাইড থিয়েটার এগিয়ে চলুক, আরও অনেক শিল্পীর গল্প নিয়ে।

' প্ল্যাটফর্ম' থেকে রানিদি সবাইকে অনুরোধ করছে আগামীকাল আমাদের পাশে থাকার জন্য। আমাদের ৫বছরে পদার্পন ও প্রথম টিকিট শো। কাল বিকেল ৪টে ৩০মিনিটে যোগেশ মাইম একাডেমীতে আমরা থাকছি ।

আগামীকাল ইউনিফাইড থিয়েটারের পক্ষ থেকে আমরা সবাই থাকছি যোগেশ মাইম একাডেমীতে ঠিক বিকেল ৪টে ৩০মিনিটে।
আমাদের সাথে থাকছে নুপুর সরকারের পরিচালনায় দুটি নাটক 'সোনারকাঠি 'ও 'প্ল্যাটফর্ম '।
