On 14.12.2025 Kolkata Catholic Santal Community organised the 40th Anniversary (1985-2025) of SOHRAE HELMEL (Pre-Christmas gathering) at St. Lawrence High School (H.S.), 27, Ballygunge Circular Road, Kolkata-700 019. The main celebrant on the occasion was Rev Fr. Simon Murmu S.J., Research Scholar and Superintendent of St. Xavier's College Hostels, Kolkata, assisted by the co-celebrant priests: Rev.Fr. Charles Naren Hembrom, Assistant Parish Priest of St. Patrick Church, Dum Dum, Kolkata, Rev Fr. M.S. Arockiasamy S.J., Rev Fr. Arun Lukas S.J. and Rev Fr. Vivian S.J. The Holy Eucharistic celebration was offered in Santali language and the priests were felicitated after the Holy Mass. A multitude of Santali speaking Catholic believers residing in and around the city of Kolkata gathered and enjoyed the Pre-Christmas celebration with joy and happiness. Community Lunch was served after the Holy Mass followed by a cultural program and Community dance broke out with drumming of joyful musical songs and corus. May God bless all our Catholic Priests, Brothers and Nuns, their ministries and the faithful lay people. 🙏

N.B: Kolkata Catholic Santal Community (KCSC) is regularly organizing the Santali Holy Mass on Second Sunday of every month at The Sacred Heart Church of Jesus, Dharamtala, 3, Lenin Sarani, Kolkata-700 013. Time : 2.00 pm Holy Rosary and Eucharistic Adoration, 3.00 pm Holy Mass. On 28.09.2025, a thanksgiving Holy Mass was offered by the Archbishop Most Rev. Dr. Elias Frank of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Calcutta in the Cathedral of the Most Holy Rosary, Burrabazar, Kolkata in presence of the Apostolic Nuncio of India and Nepal, His Excellency the Archbishop Most Rev. Leopoldo Girelli, concelebrated by the Archbishop Emeritus Most Rev. Thomas D'Souza, Regional Bishops of Bengal and the Priests of the Archdiocese. Many religious Srs., Brs. and Lay faithful attended the Holy Eucharistic celebration. The Choir of Kolkata Catholic Santal Community actively participated in the liturgical service with hymns in Santali under the guidance of Rev. Fr. Kamal Kishore Soren, Secretary, Liturgical Commission of the Archdiocese and Spiritual Adviser & Guide of KCSC. Thanks and Johar ✝️🕯️🌷🌿🙏

Kolkata Catholic Santal Community(KCSC) was thankful and grateful to Almighty and everliving GOD for having Rev. Fr. Louis Joseph, Parish Priest, Maharo Catholic Church of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Dumka as Chief Guest on the occasion of Teachers' Day honouring celebration held on 14.09.2025 after the Santali Holy Mass. On 24.08.2025, Sunday, Kolkata Catholic Santal Community were happy to have both the Bishopbaba in The Cathedral of the Most Holy Rosary, also known as the Portuguese Church at Burrabazar, Kolkata, where the Santal Community gathered and gratefully welcomed, honoured and thanked our Most Rev. Coadjutor Archbishop Elias Frank and our Most beloved Rev. Archbishop Thomas D'Souza of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Calcutta.The Secretary of KCSC shared his personal experiences regarding both the Archbishops and a brief history of KCSC was presented to them. Most Rev Archbishop Dr. Elias Frank was very happy to learn that many Catholic Santal families are here in and around the city of Kolkata and informed that he worked among the Santals at Asansol Diocese and now meeting Santal Community here, he felt that he is back home. Most Rev. Archbishop Thomas D'Souza was also happy to meet the Santal Community and informed that today, the 24th of August, 2025 is the 2nd Anniversary of Bishop Dr. Elias Frank's Ordination. Let us all pray for Him. May God bless Him and His Ministries.✝️🕯️🌷🌿🙏

On 13.07.2025 Kolkata Catholic Santal Community observed HUL MAHA at the Meeting Hall of the Church of Sacred Heart of Jesus, 3, Lenin Sarani, Dharamtala Kolkata - 700013. Main Speaker on HUL Maha was Miss Alomati Choppeyar, Professor of Behala College, Kolkata and Rev. Fr. Basil Mandi, Parish Priest of St.Teresa Church, Moulali, Kolkata and Spiritual Advisor and Guide of Kolkata Catholic Santal Community. On the same day KCSC honoured and thanked Rev. Fr. Hansel D'Souza, Parish Priest of the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Dharamtala for helping and supporting Community. KCSC took opportunity to thanks Rev. Fr. Genna Peppin Asst. Parish Priest and Director of Family Commission of Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Calcutta and Spiritual Advisor and Guide of KCSC, who is ever ready to help the Community. KCSC expressed thanked beloved Rev. Br. Naeke Marandi SJ, Spiritual Advisor and Guide and Rev. Sr. Anita Toppo, Rev.
