Hello India, You are not ready for this!

We celebrated the International Day of Yoga in collaboration with UK in India (Kolkata) onboard the glorious Vivada Cruises on a bright and sunny Sunday morning!

We are honoured to welcome Mr Pranav Prakash, Regional Director (East) of IndiaTourism Kolkata and Amit Sengupta of British Deputy High Commission Kolkata.

This is our fifth collaboration with British Deputy High Commission to mark this global day of yoga, healing and wellness! We had started this partnership way back in 2022 and have chosen an iconic place of Kolkata every year to mark this day.

Grateful to all Skålleagues and friends of media who turned up to attend the session!

We embraced the river Ganges, admired the beauty of Howrah Bridge, Howrah Railway station and multiple other heritage institutions on Strand Road while doing the yoga sessions beautifully curated by Madhusatta Chaudhury.

Thanks to the generous offer by Vivada Cruises for hosting us along with a delightful brunch to rejuvenate our body and soul.

Kolkata to Cambodia - A delegation of .kolkata explored the historical and heritage city of Siem Reap.

The spotlight was on the UNESCO world heritage monument of Angkor Wat temple. It was the centre stage of the tour.

Skål International Kolkata explores Cambodia with CATA 🇰🇭

Skål International Kolkata recently concluded a successful Educational Trip to Cambodia in association with CATA (Cambodia Tourism Association).

Members got an opportunity to meet and interact with Cambodia Tourism Association President Ms Chhay Sivlin and Cambodia Tourism Siem Reap Chapter President Mr Mao Savath.

10 Skalleagues joined this immersive journey to Siem Reap, a city that beautifully blends rich cultural heritage with vibrant nightlife.

Members were warmly hosted for lunch and dinner by senior management of leading hotels and resorts. This gave Skalleagues valuable opportunities for property inspections while sampling diverse Cambodian and international cuisines.

The group witnessed a breathtaking sunrise at Angkor Wat — the largest religious monument in the world.

Evenings were spent enjoying the dynamic Phare Cambodian Circus and exploring the Angkor Wildlife & Aquarium during noon time.

A visit to the Angkor National Museum offered a deep dive into Khmer history through unique artifacts and sculptures dating back centuries.

The trip strengthened ties between the Kolkata travel fraternity and Cambodia’s tourism stakeholders, creating new avenues for cultural and business collaboration which is the essence of SKAL.

SKÅL International Kolkata took a sustainable step of planting and gifting 1270 tree saplings at the Vedic Village Spa Resort to celebrate the .

This gave a strong message on true sustainable tourism and environmental stewardship. Recognition also goes to Earth Day Network-India for their strategic partnership with this event. 🦚

☘️ Leading the initiative were Skål India President, Sanjeev Mehra, Skål Kolkata President, Amin Asghar, Skål Kolkata Secretary, Avijit Sarkar, Skål India Director – PR & Communications, June Mukherjee and Sr GM and AVP, Vedic Village Spa Resort, Sk Rajib Roy Choudhury representing . All are proud members of .kolkata

🌿 A big shout out goes to the vedicvillage ecosystem staffs from all corners who came forward to give a hand to plant this huge number of saplings. They worked from dawn till dusk to make this initiative successful. Today, mostly perennials including Saltcedar, Mango, Litchi, Coconut, Neem, Lime, Java Plum, Water Apple, Crepe Myrtle, and China doll were planted and gifted, reinforcing Skål’s commitment to protecting our planet.

On the crucial occasion of Earth Day on 22 April, we are proudly collaborating with Vedic Village Spa Resort and Earth Day Network on a tree plantation 🪴🌱 initiative.

We welcome and encourage Skål members to join the plantation to support this sustainable movement.

The future of our children depends on the acts of our generation. So it’s time to act for climate action!
