I am excited to announce that at I For Nature we have published two very interesting research publications. One highlights the discovery of Sambus auberti from India for the first time and redescribed the female of the species, another deals with an Tawny Coster butterfly discovered from , which Arjan da highlighted as a colour inversion along with the aberration. Both the papers are open to read from the following links:

NEW RESEARCH ALERT
Two new species of discovered from the . The first species is a trubute to my and Banani's parents, Lamellipalpodes debprasuma Chakrovorty, Moinudheen, Bhattacharjee, 2025 is in honor of late Debdas Bhattacharjee (Banani's father) "deb", Pranab Chakraborty (my father) "pra", Sulekha Bhattacharjee (Banani's mother) "su" and Mandira Chakraborty (my mother) "ma". This is the least we can do for all the efforts they have put in, and the reason why we are what we are now.

The second species Lamellipalpodes kurumba is in konour of the is named in honor of the Kurumba, a primitive tribal community inhabiting the hill stretches of Coonoor, The Nilgiris. The Kurumba people and their traditional practices are facing the risk of extinction, and through this small dedication, we hope to bring attention to their heritage, development, and survival.

The research has been conducted by I For Nature Nature Club in active collaboration with and nature conservation trust, University and Bombay Natural History Society (BNHS)

I am thankful to Mr. Moinudheen Dheen for his constant support for the research team.

A special note of appreciation goes to Mr. Abinesh , Dr. Arockianathan Samson, and Mr. Sadiq Ali Sadiqooty for their continued commitment to this paper and to our broader goal of indexing the rich biodiversity of the Nilgiris.

We also extend our deep appreciation to Mr. Azad Malainadan Azad , who continues to work closely with the Kurumba community, supporting them tirelessly in all possible ways. Let this discovery be a step forward in both biodiversity conservation and cultural recognition of the Nilgiris.

We are thankful to The Hindu , Indian Express, Vikatan EMagazine and many other newsportals for covering this news

শুভ বিজয়া। মা চলে যাবার আগে একটা উপহার দিয়ে গেলো। 😍

I For Nature Nature Club, Kolkata, in a joint collaboration with Nature Mates-Nature Club, Kolkata and two international collaborations, with Dr. Yuanyuan Han (Chuzhou University, ) and with Prof. Neveen S. Gadallah ( جامعة القاهرة Cairo University, ) have discovered a new species of from Kolkata, India.

The paper entitled "Nesolynx banabitanae (Hymenoptera: Eulophidae: Tetrastichinae), a new species of hyperparasitoid wasp from West Bengal, India, with SEM analysis of antennal sensilla" has been accepted for publication in The Journal of Asia-Pacific Entomology, .

The species have been named Nesolynx banabitanae based on the type locality Banabitan Butterfly Conservatory Kolkata, West Bengal.

In a major breakthrough, we have been able to document the complete lifecycle of the hyperparasitoid wasp, starting from the host plant, followed by the caterpillar species, followed by the parasitoid wasp species upto the adult hyperparasitoid wasp.

This paper also attempted to understand the differences in morphology of these minute wasps and conducted a thorough comparison between male and female of the species.

Given the abundance of things that nature has to offer, why limit oneself and stay restricted to human neuroscience? Our recent work on the morphology of sensilla of long-horned species Triplectides indicus got published in journal (Springer-Nature). On behalf of I For Nature I am thankful to Dr. Sajad H Parey (Sajad Sir 🧡) for his guidance and collaboration.
