Our senior members acknowledge the amount and the purpose in a monthly meeting following rounds of review.

Canning's Nasiruddin Mallick has requested assistance from WBZF in order to support his small business. We are happy to contribute a small sum from the Zakat fund to support in his endeavors. He has used the money to buy more products for his shop before the month of Ramzan.

Inshallah, he will be able to open a permanent concrete store near his house in the future.

A 'different abled' person has requested assistance from WBZF in order to purchase a printer for his shop and support his small business. We were able to assist him with the very little amount which he had spent on a printer and that will invariably help him in his small business.

The West Bengal Zakat Foundation (WBZF, Kolkata) West Bengal ZAKAT Foundation - WBZF is an initiative towards fulfilling this vocation and responsibility as ibadah as one of the pillars of establishing an equal, prosperous and morally sound society in a genuine sense. It is motivated solely by the vision of revitalizing a community in crisis, reeling under the pressures of modern living where the well-off lack contentment while the poor and miserable live in abject and unimaginable hardship.

Established in 2022 as a Registered Trust under the Indian Trusts Act 1882 (Registration no IV-1606-00130/2022), it comprises of members from various distinguished fields of administration, retired and in-service bureaucrats, academics, professionals and business establishments who are united in their vision and vocation. The main thrust of this Trust would be to organize the prevalent mode of disorganized philanthropic activities through channelizing Zakat, Fitra, Sadaqa, Riba, donations and so on, to meet the welfare and developmental needs of the poor and marginalized sections of society in an effective, competent, and above all, a transparent and just manner.
