Bandhan’s first attempt towards development initiatives started in 2006. The organization offers an entire suite of development programs in the fields of education, health, livelihood promotion, renewable energy, market linkage, skills development, financial literacy, employment generation, financial literacy for the destitute, excluded and ultra-poor marginalised families. The development program

s are run by the not-for-profit entity of Bandhan named Bandhan Konnagar and these cater to more than 15 lakh households across 11 states.

Focused on the rural districts of Sawai Madhopur and Tonk in Rajasthan, the initiative seeks to drive awareness and behavioural change around basic healthcare, maternal wellbeing, mother and child care and child nutrition.

Since 2023, Project ENHANCE has been working to address the continuum of care. Right from pregnancy and newborn health to combating malnutrition among children under five with the aim of creating sustainable community impact at the grassroots.

This Mother’s Day, we celebrate the strength of mothers and reaffirm the importance of supporting their health, wellbeing and aspirations because healthier mothers build healthier communities.
