Aalor Pathe Raga Dhwani is a registered musical organisation based out of Kolkata, India; with branches in Agartala, Tripura & Toronto, Canada. Founded as Aalor Pathe by the renowned classical vocalist & composer Shantanu Bhattacharyya in 2008, it aspires to carry forward the sacred traditions of Indian culture and hopes that the young beings of today find for themselves a congenial environment of
art and culture in their life. Moving on the path of Light, Aalor Pathe Raga Dhwani over the past 5 years has organised Raga music conferences, music workshops and lecture demonstrations in Kolkata (2010,’11,’12,’13), Agartala (2009,’10,’11,’12), Chandigarh (2011), Nainital (2009), Pondicherry (2010) & Bangalore (2010). It has also conducted Raga Music demonstration lectures at the Humber College; University of Toronto, Canada (2012) and at the Grand Valley State University, Michigan, USA (2012). Such attractive and exciting is the subject matter of Raga music that the children coming to the Aalor Pathe Raga Music Society from various backgrounds; have found a common form and substance of communication between themselves. The joy for them is so much that they literally ‘speak’ to each other in the language of Swara and Laya! Aalor Pathe Raga Dhwani dreams to build strong pillars of rich cultural substance across the country and all over the world, to bind humanity in an inseparable bond of cultural and spiritual harmony.
