Pahchan Foundation Pahchan Foundation, Youth led independent Organization to protect children and youths right and ensur

Pahchan Foundation working for the children and their betterment, it works to eradicate hunger, child labour, child abuse, child marriage, environment pollution, domestic violence and to improve gender equality, health care and sanitation etc. The journey begins with the children from marginalized community. To make the community self resistant to raise their own voice as responsible citizen and community young leaders will take the leadership to make this happen.

On the twenty-fourth day in support of the campaign, We visited the NSS Unit of Barrackpore S.N. College and met with the NSS representative to discuss the campaign and possible environmental awareness activities that can be conducted with college students and NSS volunteers.

The representative appreciated the initiative and expressed interest in collaborating for future programs. He also assured us that the college would inform us soon regarding upcoming activities and plans. The visit marked a positive step towards encouraging youth participation and promoting a greener and more sustainable future.

On the twenty-third day in support of the campaign, we organized an engaging workshop on making โ€œThongaโ€ paper bags using scrap newspapers to promote environmental awareness among children, adolescents, and youth group members.

The workshop aimed to encourage participants to reuse waste materials creatively while reducing the use of plastic bags in everyday life. Through hands-on learning, participants were guided step-by-step on how old newspapers can be transformed into strong and eco-friendly paper bags that can be used for shopping and household purposes. Along with learning the skill of paper bag making, discussions were held on the harmful impact of single-use plastics on the environment and the importance of adopting sustainable alternatives in our daily lives. The activity also highlighted the value of recycling, reusing, and responsible waste management as simple yet effective ways to protect our planet.

The session created enthusiasm and active participation among the young members, inspiring them to become environmentally conscious citizens and encouraging them to spread the message of sustainability within their families and communities.

On the twenty-second day in support of the campaign, we organized a unique awareness initiative to identify and appreciate shops that avoid the use of plastic and promote eco-friendly alternatives in their daily practices.

Children, adolescents, and youth group members visited local shops to interact with shopkeepers and encouraged the use of sustainable materials such as paper bags, cloth bags, clay pots etc. and other environmentally friendly alternatives. Through this initiative, participants also spread awareness about the harmful effects of plastic pollution and the importance of protecting our planet through small but meaningful actions.

The activity inspired both community members and local businesses to adopt greener practices and work together towards building a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable future for all.

On the twentieth day in support of the campaign, our children's group members came together to learn about different types of waste that can be recycled and sold to recyclers to help protect the environment.

Through interactive discussions, the children learned the importance of waste segregation, recycling, and responsible waste management. The activity encouraged them to understand how small actions can contribute towards a cleaner, greener, and healthier planet.

On the 19th day of the Voice for Green Earth Campaign, our weekly cleanup drive at Peer Ghat was conducted in support of this nationwide movement of Youth For Ecological Sustainability.

Continuing our 276th week of consistent efforts, volunteers collected around 400 kg of waste, contributing towards the protection and preservation of the sacred Ganga River. It is imperative to implement long-term measures and launch awareness campaigns to educate people about the ecological, cultural, and spiritual importance of the Ganga. We once again appeal to the authorities to prioritize initiatives for waste management, recycling, and community education to ensure the Ganga remains a source of life and prosperity for generations to come.

Together, we move one step closer to a cleaner and greener future.

On the eighteenth day in support of the campaign, we organized a drawing competition with our children group members based on the theme of Climate Change to raise awareness about environmental issues.

Through their drawings, the children expressed their thoughts and ideas on topics such as pollution, global warming, tree plantation, clean surroundings, and protecting nature. The activity encouraged creativity while helping them understand the importance of caring for the environment and taking small steps towards a sustainable future. The competition created a joyful and interactive learning space where children could share their perspectives and become young voices for environmental protection. Through art and participation, the initiative aimed to inspire awareness, responsibility, and positive action for a greener and healthier planet.
