On the occasion of World Mangrove Day, Team Prameya Foundation was honoured to participate in the RISE Blue Forum 2026, joining researchers, practitioners, policymakers, ESG & CSR parters and community leaders in advancing conversations on the future of our coastal ecosystems.

Our Founder & Managing Trustee, Mukut Biswas(Mukut ), represented Prameya Foundation as a panelist during the session on “Coastal Community Challenges and Priorities,” highlighting the importance of community-led mangrove conservation and the need to place local people at the centre of climate resilience efforts. The session was moderated by Bishwadeep Ghose, Country Head of Water For People India, Nilanjan Mishra, conservationist, anthropologist and agroecologist, and Dr. Sourav Paul, we co-panellists.

Prameya Foundation was also delighted to host an exhibition stall showcasing our work in the Sundarbans. Our team members Tridib, Prasenjit, and Samaresh, along with our Co-founder Sabyasachi Chowdhury, engaged with participants, sharing our ongoing initiatives in mangrove restoration, community empowerment, and climate action.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Resilience Actions -the organisers for creating a platform that fostered meaningful dialogue, collaboration, and collective commitment towards conserving one of the world’s most vital ecosystems.

Together, we continue to work towards a future where people and nature thrive together.

🌿 Let’s make Dhotrey a model clean and green Himalayan village — and inspire every mountain community to follow. 🏔️

Dhotrey Forest Village, the gateway to Singalila National Park and a recognised Biodiversity Heritage Site, now has 6 aerobic tumbler bio-composters donated to the Dhotrey community by Migma Sherpa of Dekho Darjeeling through RUR Greenlife—which will help convert wastes from homestays, cafes and restaurants turn into rich compost for local farmers. We are raising ₹20,000 to build protective shades over these composters to protect them from rain, snow and harsh mountain weather. Your support will help reduce waste significantly, support sustainable agriculture and promote responsible tourism in the Singalila
Himalayas. For the Mountains and it’s lovely people please support us.💚
