Healthcare access begins before a person enters a clinic.

It begins when someone can ask a question without being mocked.
When privacy is protected.
When information is understandable.
When a referral does not become another experience of humiliation.

Through Antor, Prantakatha supports transgender persons in navigating health information and respectful referrals.

If you need general guidance, please contact us privately through Prantakatha’s official channels. Do not post medical records, diagnoses or personal details in a public comment.

Knowing that a right exists is not always enough to reach it.

For a young mother facing homelessness, domestic violence, loss of documents or a child-protection concern, the legal system may appear as many unfamiliar doors—each asking for another form, another journey and another retelling of pain.

That is why community paralegal learning matters.

Through Naay Sahayak, Prantakatha is developing practical legal literacy with homeless young mothers and community members: how to recognise a rights violation, preserve essential information, understand available options, seek appropriate legal aid and make a safe referral.

A community paralegal does not replace a lawyer. The role is to help shorten the distance between a person and the institution meant to serve her.

We will never ask anyone to share personal legal or family details in a public comment. For collaboration or general information, please contact Prantakatha privately through our official channels.

A fellowship is most visible on launch day.

But its real character is revealed afterwards.

After the photographs, does someone help the entrepreneur think through pricing?
When sales are slow, is there still a conversation?
Can a buyer discover the product?
Can the entrepreneur ask a difficult question without fearing that she will appear unsuccessful?

Through Krittika Samriddhi, we want to keep returning to these ordinary but decisive moments.

Women entrepreneurs do not need to be treated as beneficiaries of generosity. They need to be recognised as business owners—with ideas, customers, risks and the right to be taken seriously.

If you are a mentor, buyer, supplier or business that can open a useful door, we invite you to connect with Prantakatha through this page.

A launch can create hope. An MoU can create possibility. But partnership becomes real only through what happens afterwards.

Recent weeks have brought two important livelihood pathways to Prantakatha: the Krittika Samriddhi Fellowship with Kutchina Foundation and our new partnership with Indian Oil Corporation Limited.

These are different initiatives, but they carry one shared lesson.

A company may bring technical knowledge, markets, infrastructure or opportunity. A community organisation may bring trust, continuity and an understanding of barriers that are often invisible from a boardroom. Young people and entrepreneurs bring the knowledge of what will actually work in their lives.

The future of inclusive livelihood work will not be built by one sector acting alone. It will be built when institutions are willing to share access, listen seriously and remain accountable after the public announcement is over.

“Lived experiences heard: real voices, real change.”

This World Mental Health Day theme asks us to move beyond awareness.

A person with lived experience should not be invited only to share a painful story. Their knowledge should help shape the service, the policy, the language and the decisions that affect their life.

At Prantakatha, we have learned that being heard can begin healing—but real change begins when institutions become answerable to what they hear.

Let us build mental-health spaces with people, not merely for them.

A market becomes inclusive only when inclusion reaches the purchase order.

Training women and transgender entrepreneurs is valuable. But training alone cannot build a business if customers, retailers, institutions and procurement systems remain closed.

This festive season, each of us can make inclusion practical:

• buy from a small entrepreneur
• introduce her to a serious customer
• offer shelf or display space
• include women- and trans-led enterprises in procurement
• share business knowledge without taking over the business

If your business or institution can offer market access, technical guidance or a meaningful buyer connection, Prantakatha would be glad to hear from you.

The launch is one day. The accompaniment is the work.

When an entrepreneur receives support, the visible moment may be a ceremony. But an enterprise grows through far less visible questions:

Can she reach the right customer?
Can she price her work with confidence?
Can she find a supplier who treats her fairly?
Can she ask for help before a problem becomes a crisis?
Can institutions open real markets—not merely another training room?

Through the Krittika Samriddhi Fellowship, Prantakatha and Kutchina Foundation will work with six women entrepreneurs through phased support, mentoring, training and market connections.

The purpose is not to turn every enterprise into the same model. It is to help each entrepreneur strengthen what she is already trying to build.

A room full of possibility.

On 3 October, the Krittika Samriddhi Fellowship was formally launched at the MCCI Conference Room in Kolkata, bringing together six women entrepreneurs, Kutchina Foundation, Prantakatha and members of the media.

The most important part of the afternoon was not the formal ceremony. It was the conversation.

Each entrepreneur spoke directly about her enterprise—what she is building, where she feels stuck, and what kind of support can help her move forward. Namit Bajoria shared Kutchina’s commitment to contribute technical knowledge, management understanding, skill-building and continuing guidance.

A fellowship becomes meaningful when support does not stop with selection. Capital matters. So do mentoring, market access, practical learning and someone remaining available when the business meets a difficult turn.

We are grateful to MCCI for the space, to Kutchina Foundation for the trust, and above all to the entrepreneurs for bringing their courage and ambition into the room.

As Kolkata slowly prepares for Puja, the city begins to change.

Lights appear, neighbourhoods become busy, plans are made, and anticipation grows.

This is also a good time to remember that celebration feels different for different people.

For someone it may mean reunion. For another, loneliness.

For someone it may bring work and income. For another, uncertainty about where to sleep, how to travel safely or whether they will be welcomed.

In the coming days, each of us can widen that circle through one thoughtful invitation, one respectful purchase, one check in with someone who may be alone, and one act that protects dignity.

Community is not only whom we celebrate with.

It is also whom we remember while celebrating.

A health service becomes accessible before a person reaches the clinic.

Access begins when someone can ask a question without fear.

When information is clear.

When privacy is protected.

When a referral does not become another experience of humiliation.

Through Antor, Prantakatha continues to learn that trust is not an extra part of healthcare. Trust is part of the infrastructure that allows healthcare to work.
