Young voices. Strong communities. Zero tolerance for trafficking.

On World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, adolescents from Rupantaran Foundation's youth collectives took the lead in creating awareness across their schools and communities. Through discussions and outreach, they encouraged children, parents, and community members to recognize the signs of trafficking, stay informed, and take action to prevent exploitation.

When young people are empowered with knowledge, they become champions of safety and change.

Together, let's build communities where every child grows up safe, protected, and free.

Honoured to participate in the World Mangrove Day conference by Government of West Bengal bringing together government officials, tourism stakeholders, and organizations committed to the conservation and promotion of the Sundarbans.

Representing Rupantaran, Arup Manna shared our work on women led Mangrove plantation and youth-led climate action through Climate Clubs and Biodiversity Clubs.

A heartfelt thank you to the South 24 Parganas District authorities for providing us with this wonderful platform to showcase our work and be part of this important dialogue.

In rural Bengal, you'll find a carrom board in almost every neighborhood corner. But more often those corners belong to boys and men. For many girls and women, growing up, the game simply wasn't theirs to play.

These days, at our office in the Sundarbans, that story is changing. During breaks from meeting and workshops, women gather around a carrom board, laughing, celebrating every strike, and learning a game many of them never had the opportunity to play as children.

It's easy to see a carrom board as just a game. But sometimes, it represents something much bigger—a space where women can relax, play, belong, and reclaim a small joy they were once denied.

Sometimes, change begins not with grand gestures, but with a striker, a few coins, and a corner where everyone is welcome.

Building safer communities for children starts at the grassroots. Through the Village Level Child Protection Committee (VLCPC) training, participants strengthened their understanding of child safeguarding and their role in protecting children's rights and well-being.

Together, we are strengthening local child protection mechanisms and creating safer environments where every child can thrive.

Today, the children of remote Mousuni Island in the Sundarbans celebrated World Environment Day with great enthusiasm and creativity. The program, organized by Rupantaran Foundation, brought together young minds to learn about the importance of protecting our environment.

The children participated in a drawing competition, planted trees, and expressed their ideas and dreams for a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future through their artwork and discussions. Their energy, creativity, and commitment to nature served as an inspiring reminder that environmental stewardship begins with awareness and action.
