Last Sunday on 2 nd August an orientation program was conducted by Sri Arjun Basu and Smt Indrani Basu, parents of an adult Autistic youth who are planning to implement a residential support program at home. The seminar ' Home at Home' was organised at SAMYA Foundation with families of adults & adolescents and our regular teachers since the speakers wanted the session to be an offline interactive program. This program was a part of our year long project on discussion on opportunities of different residential rehabilitation facilities for adults with neurodiversities. This idea of providing support at the existing home with trained direct service providers, may be a great way to start a network of similar facilities throughout the country. 🙏

SAMYA FOUNDATION for Special Needs feels blessed to get this opportunity to serve the society with the collaboration and guidance from Belur Math Vidyamandir, Bose House Campus through this 8 month long online course ( evening hours - Monday 7:30-8:30 pm & two or three practical offline sessions on Sundays at RKM Bose House campus, Rishra with prior information)'. The course Understanding Neurodiversity' will be conducted under the honorary mentorship of Dr. Aditi Bandyopadhyay, SAMYA team and few guest resource persons . 🙏
