SAMYA FOUNDATION for Special Needs feels blessed to get this opportunity to serve the society with the collaboration and guidance from Belur Math Vidyamandir, Bose House Campus through this 8 month long online course ( evening hours - Monday 7:30-8:30 pm & two or three practical offline sessions on Sundays at RKM Bose House campus, Rishra with prior information)'. The course Understanding Neurodiversity' will be conducted under the honorary mentorship of Dr. Aditi Bandyopadhyay, SAMYA team and few guest resource persons . 🙏

A thorough inspection was conducted by HOD and senior faculty of computer science from Belur Math, Shilpamandira , followed by their guidance on 25 th July, 2026 at our Computer and Skill training center of SAMYA FOUNDATION for Special Needs. In the picture are our students of Certificate course in Microsoft Office, and teachers Sudipta Maity Sahu , Debolina Ray & Sreya Chakrabarti and teacher of skill unit Debasmita Das. Sriyanka Mukherjee & Dr. Anupriya Basu , teachers in our skill unit and communicative English are missing in these pictures.

Our classes for Post Graduate Diploma in Dance Movement Therapy in Jadavpur University are in full swing with knowledgeable faculties like Dr. Moupikta Mukherjee who has extensively studied and researched the application of art based therapies in Disability field. We are truly happy with enthusiastic participants of this year's course curriculum. 🙏

Dolly Basu renowned theatre actor, director and a well known name in Indian television & cinema was known to all of us.... Little did we know at Samya Trust that she was a loving and caring angel too, humbly coming forward for our special needs group of developmentally challenged children and adults, with a mission of offering voluntary dedicated service (Karmayoga, as mentioned by her) through her medium of drama classes. Now, every Monday our children and adults look forward to 'Drama classes with Dolly Aunty' at SAMYA FOUNDATION for Special Needs at Garfa.... We are deeply grateful to you Dolly Aunty. 🙏❤🙏

Samya Trust SAMYA FOUNDATION for Special Needs, conducted it's 39 th Mothers' Meet training ( a free quarterly training program for families, & professionals touched by Autism and other developmental disabilities since 2017) under the guidance of Dr. Aditi Bandyopadhyay was held on 28 th June, 2026 at SAMYA FOUNDATION, Garfa. In these trainings people learn and share in a very simple and humble set up where they feel comfortable to open up their hearts, clear their doubts and learn the methods of customising the traditional intervention methods as per individual needs of the persons needing help.

It is of immense joy for us at Samya Trust that from this year onwards Smt Tripura Kashyap who is globally acknowledged for her pioneering work in the field of Dance Movement Therapy in India has joined as our invited resource person in the Post Graduate Diploma Course in DMT ( SAMYA model) conducted by SAMYA FOUNDATION and department of Education, Jadavpur University. Her authored book 'My Body, My Wisdom' is also a reference reading text in our course since last four years ( from 2023-2025 this was a certificate course). Last Saturday on 4th July 2026, we had an empowering afternoon online learning session on DMT from 3-6 pm (usual class hours of the course) with our batch of 25 students, and regular & volunteer DMT facilitators at SAMYA FOUNDATION for special needs. 🙏 Our sincere gratitude to Tripura Kashyap ma'am for being there for us 🙏
