Unmish UNMISH a Non Profit organisation. We have a SCHOOL,THERAPY and VOCATIONAL UNIT for children and adults with special needs, dedicated to improve their lives.

UNMISH is a self help group dedicated to/ in improving the quality of life of parents and children with developmental disorders. Developmental Disorders is an umbrella term for a group of diseases that affect the mental and/ or physical development of children. These disorders include Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Pervasive Developmental Disorders, certain cases of epilepsy and a number of other genetic

and neurological disorders. Founded in August 2009, UNMISH is a not for profit organization in whole Eastern India which aims at providing support services and information to families. Currently UNMISH is focussing on projects in Urban and rural areas of West Bengal in India. Our mission:

Enhance the quality of life of parents and children with developmental disability by providing physiotherapy, occupational therapy (allied health, non- medical) services and opportunities for training and information to parents and professionals while keeping in mind the cultural responsibilities.

Celebrating a new step towards inclusion through sports. 🏅

On 12 June 2026, UNMISH marked the inauguration of its new building, with Dr. Mallika Nadda as the Chief Guest.

The occasion also marked an important milestone with the signing of an MoU between UNMISH and Special Olympics Bharat, opening new possibilities to promote participation, confidence and inclusion through sports.

This National Sports Day, we celebrate this partnership and look forward to creating more opportunities where everyone gets a chance to participate, grow and shine.
