Our students and trainees had a fantastic time at "Meraki", an incredible event hosted by Loreto House!
It was a day overflowing with energy, creativity, and fun—complete with vibrant dance, drama, and singing performances. Beyond the wonderful activities, the absolute highlight of the day was watching our group eagerly interact and build beautiful connections with students from other participating schools and Loreto House.

On 16th July, 2026, students and staff of Mentaid got together to celebrated Rath Yatra. A small Rath (chariot) was beautifully decorated by the students with flowers, and the idol of Lord Jagannath, and his siblings. The celebration started with an introduction and speech on Rath Yatra , and young students continued to take the Rath around the school, eagerly taking turns. It was wonderful to see the younger students getting excited and bring enthusiasm to celebrate Rath Yatra!

On 3rd July, 2026, our young trainees of the Vocational Training Unit celebrated the 30th Foundation Day in their own way. They visited Science City organised by Young Indians (Yi). They went on different rides and shows available, exploring and having a fun time breaking away from the monotony of the daily life at the VTC. Everybody came back with happy faces, a perfect end to a busy week!

The 39th AGM of the Mentaid Association took place at the Mentaid Centre on 5th July 26.
The positivity of the group was evident at the discussions that took place after every presentation was made.

The birth anniversary of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookherjee, was celebrated at Mentaid on 2nd July 26.
The program began with a video showing the activities done during the fortnight to educate the children on the life of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookherjee.
This was followed with the traditional lighting of the lamp by the Chairperson and senior members.
Next we had the singing and illustration of Vande Mataram, by vocational trainee girls. A parent spoke on the life of Dr. Mookherjee. Dr. Minoti Biswas then took the children through Dr. Mookherjee's education and contribution to make India great.
The program was inclusive and interactive in nature.

July 1st, 2026, marked a big milestone: the 30th Foundation Day of the Mentaid Vocational Training Centre! We celebrated three decades of hard work with cake, smiles, and togetherness. This incredible 30-year journey is all thanks to our amazing team, whose shared dedication and passion keep our vital service going strong.

In 2024 students and trainees of Mentaid had planted guava seeds in the garden of Mentaid. Two years later, the hardwork was blessed with big ripe organic guavas which were enjoyed by everyone later on at Mentaid. It was truly a fruitful act of environmental awareness.

On 25th June, 2026, 5 young adults participated at an event on observing Helen Keller Day, organised by KESEDA, in collaboration with Disability Activists Forum WB, at Manovikas Kendra. The participants performed a dance on a folk song. It was an event celebrating differences and striving towards empowerment and self-dependency.
