Our Story
What is Rotaract Club of Calcutta ?
If there were a “Grand Old Rotaract Club” in Rotary International District 3291, it would be Rotaract Club of Calcutta. In fact, shining brightly in the Rotaract world since 1969, it is a pioneer in several aspects. A club that has its membership restriction to the age of 30 has turned 50 itself; quite a rhetoric on its own. The charter president Krishna Sen, has now become a Rotarian in the parent Rotary Club, Rotary Club of Calcutta, the oldest running Rotary club east of the Suez Canal. The club has housed members from as diverse a community as is the city of Kolkata. It is the proud home of four DRRs of RID 3291 and erstwhile 3290. With confidence in the team for the year 2018-19 and humility for the achievements of every luminary of the previous years, may the club move forward to an era of greater success.
