Aikido is a traditional and non-violent Japanese martial art, founded by Ô sensei Ueshiba Morihei (1883-1969). He envisioned Aikido not only as the synthesis of his martial training, but as an expression of the philosophy of universal peace and reconciliation. It is a non competitive form and is based on the principles of balance of energies and respect for the partner. It is aimed at men and wome
n, without age limit or special preparation. In aikido, there are both physical and mental aspects of training. The physical training in aikido is diverse, covering both general physical fitness and conditioning, as well as specific techniques. A substantial portion of any aikido curriculum consists of throws: beginners learn how to safely fall or roll. The practitioner learns to study movements, dodging, grips, distances, working with bare hands (taijustu of aiki) techniques of immobilizations, projections and also the work of the weapons (aikijo and aikiken) within the framework of the dojo. Kobayashi Hirokazu was a direct disciple of the founder of aikido, Ueshiba Morihei. Our soke André Cognard met Kobayashi sensei in 1973 and became his student and his assistant. It was at the instigation of his master that André Cognard created the Autonomous Academy of Aikido Kobayashi Hirokazu (3AKH) in 1982. Kobayashi Ryu Aikido India Kenyuukai (KRAIK) is registered with the government of India under the India Trust Act 1882. KRAIK is affiliated to the Kokusai Aikido Kenshukai Kobayashi Hirokazu Ryu (KAKKHR) https://aikido-kobayashi.org/, which is recognized by the Dai Nippon Butoku Kai (DNBK), Japan
