Today 25th December '25, RC Ballygunge Uptown at Sundarban Global Foundation, Gosaba.
( Project - Suraksha)
Blankets and mosquito nets were distributed among 100 families at 10:00 a.m., bringing warmth and care to the community.

We also provided a platform for local women to sell their pure honey, supporting their livelihood. The collective amount raised was handed over to the Sundarban Global Foundation.

Together, small efforts create meaningful change. 🌿🤝

OCV & 10th Charter Anniversary Celebration .

The Official Club Visit (OCV) followed by the celebration of the 10th Charter Anniversary of Rotary Club of Ballygunge Uptown, District 3291, was successfully held on 21st December 2025 at Fort William – The Nest.

The evening was graciously honoured by the presence of District Governor Rtn. Dr. Ramendu Homchaudhuri, along with AG Rtn. Sanjay Ghosh, District Admin & Event Rtn. Soma Kazi, and District Addl. Logistics Rtn. Tuhin Poddar.

Set in a warm, cozy, and homely atmosphere, the programme witnessed meaningful interactions and valuable discussions with the District Governor and other District officials. The exchange of thoughts and guidance made the visit truly enriching and inspiring for our club.

We, the members of Rotary Club of Ballygunge Uptown, are deeply overwhelmed and grateful for the encouragement and support received. Heartfelt thanks to all our esteemed guests and club members for their cooperation, dedication, and teamwork in making the OCV and 10th Charter Anniversary celebration a memorable and grand success.

Polio Awareness Initiative by Rotary Club of Ballygunge Uptown
Club No. 86748 | RY 2025–26

As part of Rotary’s global mission to End Polio Now, the Rotary Club of Ballygunge Uptown organized a widespread Polio Awareness Drive across six key locations — Triangular Park, Near Samajsebi, Ballygunge, Behala Borisha, Greater Noida West, Pragati Sangha, Pancha Sayar, and New Garia.

Vibrant awareness banners carrying the powerful message “End Polio Now” were displayed, encouraging communities to ensure that every child receives the life-saving polio vaccine.

This initiative aims to strengthen public understanding about:
✔️ The importance of timely immunization
✔️ The global effort to eradicate polio
✔️ Our shared responsibility in protecting future generations

Led by Club President Rtn. Sarbani Sen, under the guidance of District Governor Dr. Ramendu Homchaudhuri, this campaign reinforces a simple truth — together, through awareness and action, we can make the dream of a Polio-Free World a reality.

CHILDREN’S DAY CELEBRATION AT SUNDARBAN GLOBAL FOUNDATION, GOSABA

Date: 16th November 2025, 10 a. m.

Rotary Club of Ballygunge Uptown proudly celebrated Children’s Day at Sundarban Global Foundation (SGF), Gosaba, marking a memorable day dedicated to education, empowerment, and community wellbeing.

The event was graced by the presence of four club members:

Rtn. Sarbani Sen (President)

Rtn. Piu Roy

Rtn. Samiron Ghosh

Rtn. Sekharesh Sen

As part of this meaningful initiative, the club handed over two computers to SGF Director Mr. Manash Khatua, supporting the Foundation’s efforts toward digital learning. The new computer room was inaugurated by Club President Rtn. Sarbani Sen, opening fresh pathways of knowledge for young learners.

Rotary Club of Ballygunge Uptown also arranged food Chocolates for nearly 150 students and village residents, ensuring a day filled with joy, care, and togetherness. In total, 150 students directly benefited from this project.

Sundarban Global Foundation enriched the celebration with a vibrant cultural program and a healthcare camp, adding value to the occasion and making the day truly special for everyone present.

The hospitality extended by SGF was deeply appreciated by all club members.

On 5th September 2025, at 10 AM, Rotary Club of Ballygunge Uptown, District 3291, proudly reached out with love and support to 130 mentally challenged children and residents of Ashabari – House of Hope. 💙🙏

To encourage self-reliance and bring smiles, the club donated 2 sewing machines along with new & old clothes. The contribution was warmly received by Brother Joseph.
