Indian Medical Association strongly demands immediate removal of the most corrupted President of West Bengal Medical Council , Dr Sudipto Roy & it's Vice President Susanta Roy and requests the Hon'ble Chief Minister of newly formed BJP West Bengal Government Suvendu Adhikari & Hon'ble Health Minister Sharadwat Mukhopadhyay for thorough, impartial & speedy investigation.
Indian Medical Association Bengal State Branch and it's members were repeatedly harrassed by this corrupt Council just due to personal vendetta.
Our Hon'ble State Secretary, Past National President of IMA & former MP Dr. Santanu Sen's Medical Registration was illegally cancelled by maligning his genuine FRCP as a false one and he got justice from Hon'ble High Court.
IMA has raised it's voice several times regarding the under mentioned gross irregularities of West Bengal Medical Council:
1) They forcefully came into power by making the last Election completely a farce one and by looting votes.
2) Dr Sudipto Roy, Dr Susanta Roy and their team supported by the North Bengal Lobby led by Dr S P Das desperately supported the accuseds of Abhaya incident and many of them including the son of Dr Susanta Roy ( Dr Soutrik Roy) were present at the crime scene.
3) Dr Sudipto Roy openly praised Dr Sandip Ghosh in India Today
4) The Council nurtured and sheltered the masters of Threat Culture like Dr Avik De, Dr Birupaksha Biswas & Dr Sourav Paul
5) This Council led by Dr Sudipto Roy used to give false cases against Doctors & then used to settle against financial deal
6) Dr Susanta Roy used to take his Airfare unconstitutiinally from the Council.
7) Few members used to draw Rs, 50,000/- per month from the Council unconditionally.
8) Dr Sudipto Roy gave job to the son of one member( Dr Tapas Chakraborty )for the post of Asstt Registrar depriving other relevant candidates.
9) Without having permission from the Government they started a unit of West Bengal Medical Council at North Bengal Medical College just to benefit the North Bengal Lobby.
10) This Council minted money by implementing Compulsory Credit Point system for the permanently registered Doctors, which is not a must as per the National Medical Commission.
11) They built up the Guest House without going through proper tender process.
12) Dr Sudipto Roy illegally handed over the Canteen to one Company and he often takes food for his house without payment.
