Suspended DC Central Indira Madam forcefully introduced Dr Avik De, a mastermind of so called North Bengal Lobby & R G Kar incident, who was present at the crime scene & who has got illegally admitted in Post Graduation in Surgery Department of SSKM Hospital using the power of the then DME, another puppet of North Bengal Lobby Prof Kaustav Nayek, as a Forensic Expert.

IMA Bengal strongly challenged the then DC Central Madam & she couldn't reply.

It was a deep rooted conspiracy to damage all the evidences.

The then local MLA Mr Atin Ghosh was the key person of the vandalism organised on 14th August with the help of mainly muslim goons of Cossipore & Belgachia.

Thanks to Hon'ble Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari ji for reopening the R G Kar File & suspending specially the then DC Indira Madam.

IMA is always there to support the newly elected BJP West Bengal Government in order to investigate properly in the R G Kar issue & to give justice to

IMA also demands immediate dissolution of West Bengal Medical Council & West Bengal Health Recruitment Board as in both the organisations under the Chairmanship of Dr Sudipto Roy huge corruption & irregularities have taken place & he along with his other members were also present in the crime scene/ Hospital misusing their power.

Indian Medical Association Bengal State Branch observed World Health Day with a highimpact event at The Press Club Kolkata centering on the 2026 global theme: "Together for Health: Stand with Science." This year’s observation took a significant step further by integrating Autism Awareness Month, emphasizing that neuro-inclusive healthcare is a fundamental human right.

The event, which ran from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM, was inaugurated by Dr. Santanu Sen, Honorary State Secretary and Past National President of IMA, and Dr. Chandan Kumar Ghosal, State President. Dr Sibabrata Banerjee (Hony Joint Secretary, IMA HQ), Prof Dr Prasanta K Bhattacharyya (Hony Secretary, JIMA), Dr Abhik Ghosh (Hony Finance Secretary, IMA Bengal) etc were also there as Hon'ble Guests.

Experts discussed on the critical role of evidence based medicine in modern practice and empowering healthcare workers as social leaders for neurodivergent families. IMA leaders unveiled poster on "Autism Awareness Month," shifting the focus from awareness to true neuro-acceptance. IMA Bengal also honoured health journalists for fighting misinformation with science-led truth. Lastly, A pledge of collective commitment was taken by all to making healthcare evidence based and accessible for all.
