Emami Foundation is proud to celebrate the remarkable achievements of students from Him Jyoti School.

The school recorded a 100% pass result in the Board Examinations 2025–26, with outstanding performances across Classes X and XII.

Among the EF-supported Class XII students, Ansuya scored 82.6% with 98% in Computer Science, Arushi Jaldiyal scored 94% and topped Geography with 96%, and Bhumika Rawat scored 93% with 100% in Psychology.

Emami Foundation’s FY 2025–26 initiatives focused on creating meaningful impact across education, healthcare, women empowerment, and social upliftment.

From smart classrooms, AI-enabled teacher training, and livelihood programmes for rural youth to healthcare outreach, disability support, and women-led employment initiatives, the Foundation continued to strengthen access and opportunity at the grassroots.

The year also saw 72.8% placement through skill development programmes, wellness outreach touching over 13,000 lives, support for vulnerable communities through hunger mitigation initiatives reaching 6.1 lakh+ beneficiaries, disaster response efforts, and the rescue of 546 lives from Kolkata streets.

Together, these initiatives reflect a continued commitment towards inclusive and community-focused development.

Awareness and early detection can save lives.

On World No To***co Day, Emami Foundation, in association with Indian Cancer Society Kolkata, organised an awareness and early detection camp at Chakdah, Nadia, focusing on the dangers of to***co use and to***co-related cancers.

The session featured an impactful presentation by Dr. Sanjay Kr. Das, Oncologist, who spoke about to***co-related health risks, early symptoms of cancer, and the need for timely diagnosis. He highlighted that to***co can cause at least 16 types of cancer, including lung, oral and esophageal cancer, and that there is no safe level of to***co consumption. Quitting remains the only solution.

Participants were also encouraged to take action for prevention. After the age of 40, an annual cancer prevention check-up is important. A sore that does not heal within 15 days, or a cough that persists for 15 days even after medication, should be checked immediately.

Health check-ups were conducted, and awareness booklets were distributed among participants.

Through such initiatives, Emami Foundation continues its commitment to preventive healthcare and the well-being of underserved communities.

Restoring vision can restore independence, confidence, and dignity.

Through its Haripal Centre, Aradhana Trust, Emami Foundation organised an eye check-up camp in association with Haripal Shramajibi Swasthya Prakalpo Samiti and in collaboration with FICCI FLO, to identify cataract patients from underserved communities.

The patients were taken to Priyamvada Birla Eye Clinic, Kolkata, for affordable cataract surgeries, helping them regain vision and move towards a more independent life.

Emami Foundation, in association with Hive India, is committed to supporting underserved communities living on pavements with essential care and assistance beyond food and medicines.

Through the distribution of walking sticks and walkers, the initiative helps individuals who have lost mobility due to accidents, illness, old age, or debilitating health conditions. For many, this support is not just about movement, but about regaining a sense of freedom and self-reliance.

As shared by Rinku Devi, a resident of a South Kolkata pavement, “I am very pleased to get this walker, which will help me restore my mobility along with my independence and dignity. My grateful thanks.”

JOY OF LEARNING WITH EMAMI FOUNDATION

Emami Foundation believes that learning goes beyond classrooms and examinations. To encourage creativity, self-expression, and holistic development among children from underserved communities, the Foundation continues to create meaningful learning opportunities beyond academics.

Recently, in association with Kolkata Centre for Creativity (KCC), Emami Foundation organised engaging workshops on creative artwork, storytelling, and interactive learning for children. The sessions offered a joyful platform for children to express themselves freely, explore their imagination, and experience the joy of learning.
