On December 8th, we successfully conducted the LSH 16.0 Winter Drive in a remote village in Bolpur, bringing warmth and joy to over 120 tribal children and 5 adults. Despite the limited time, our collective efforts allowed us to distribute sweaters and organize a heartwarming lunch for the community.
This accomplishment would not have been possible without the unwavering support our ever-supportive donors, whose belief in our cause continues to drive us forward.

Here’s a glimpse of the love, laughter, and warmth that filled the day. Every smile we witnessed fuels our passion to keep going. Together, we’re making a difference, one act of kindness at a time.

Our LSH UPAHAAR 15.0 drive was held on 29th September 2024 in the Birbhum District, and it was a heartwarming experience for all involved.

LSH Upahaar 15.0: Spreading Happiness.

Back in 2019, with nothing but a dream to make the world a little brighter, we started Let's Spread Happiness (LSH). Our journey began by knocking on doors, and collecting old clothes for the underprivileged before Durga Puja. What started as a humble initiative, led by Debjit Mukherjee and his four close friends, has blossomed into something we never imagined.

With overwhelming love and support from so many kind souls, LSH has grown beyond our wildest dreams. Today, thanks to all of you, we no longer give old clothes—we proudly gift brand-new ones, bringing smiles to faces that deserve it the most.

This year, in 2024, we’ve once again embarked on LSH Upahaar 15.0, our mission to bring joy to underprivileged children in a remote village in Birbhum District. We couldn't have done it without the incredible help of Shri Subrata Saha, Shri Debasish Saha, Shri Sanjit Roy, Shri Romy Sarkar, Shri Amartya Bose and their friends, who joined hands to make this LSH 15.0 project successful.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Basuri Guest House in Fuldanga, Prantik, for offering us a place to stay at no cost while we carried out this heartfelt cause. Your generosity means a lot to us.

I would like to express my special gratitude to Aparna Chakraborty Didi for guiding us to Aamkoi Village and supporting our efforts. Without you, we would not have made this project for underprivileged children possible.

This year, we proudly carry on our tradition of spreading joy by delivering your heartfelt gifts of clothing to children who have little hope of receiving anything this festive season. Join us in making a difference. Together, let's brighten their celebrations with warmth and smiles. Your generosity can bring immense joy to those who need it the most.

🔥 URGENT HELP NEEDED! 🔥

On 13.04.24, a devastating fire swept through our neighboring slum, leaving hundreds homeless and in desperate need of assistance. The flames razed all the houses within minutes, leaving families with nothing but the clothes on their backs.

Most of the affected individuals, primarily ragpickers and rickshaw pullers, have lost everything – their homes, belongings, and important documents. Around 300-400 people are now without shelter or basic necessities.

While the Local Government has provided temporary shelter and food at Dum Dum Rabindra Bhawan.

In this time of crisis, Let's Spread Happiness is taking action to provide aid. We're collecting gently used clothes and dry food to distribute to those in need.

👕 Please consider donating at least two or more gently used sarees, t-shirts, shirts, pants, or clothes for kids.

Your contribution, no matter how small, can make a significant difference in the lives of those affected.

LSH UPAHAAR 14.0 (Day-1) - Spreading Joy and Kindness

Like every year, Team Lets Spread Happiness organized LSH UPAHAAR. This special drive has been a tradition for us since 2019, where we aim to bring smiles to the faces of the less fortunate. LSH UPAHAAR is all about providing new clothes to those who often go unnoticed—the underprivileged souls who deserve the simple joy of wearing something new.

On October 8, 2023, we kicked off our annual drive with the first day of activities. We had the privilege of gifting brand new clothes to 40 marginal kids, aged between 4 to 8 years. But our efforts didn't stop there. We decided to make their day even more memorable.

Thanks to the incredible support of Mr. Rajib and his team at Dominos Shyambazar, we treated these amazing kids to a special experience - their very first chicken pizza! The smiles and laughter that filled the air were priceless.

We owe a heartfelt thank you to Swapan Babu from Bagbazar Sarada Prathamik Vidyalaya, who helped us connect with these lovely kids. They are receiving basic education under Swapan Babu's guidance, and we are grateful for his support.

None of this would have been possible without the generosity of those who believed in us and supported us through donations. Your contributions made this drive a resounding success, and we can't thank you enough.

Extending the Blessings of Festivity

In the midst of our abundance, as we stand before our well-stocked wardrobes and sheltered homes, it's a poignant realization that the world outside carries a different tale. Just beyond our windows, the homeless and underprivileged stand resilient, their lives defined by scarcity, lacking not just clothes and shelter, but often the basics we take for granted.

Yet, amidst their struggles, they hold onto a glimmer of hope that illuminates their days. They endure, even through these challenging times of a global pandemic. It's a testament to the human spirit – unwavering and strong.

As we anticipate the upcoming festival, we're reminded of the contrast between our celebrations and their daily reality. Our tradition of adorning new attire for the occasion speaks to our joy, but it also calls upon our empathy. It's in this spirit that our team, "Let's Spread Happiness," steps forward once again.

Introducing our project, "LSH UPAHAAR,” As Durga Puja approaches, we're dedicating ourselves to reaching out to those who often go unnoticed – the underprivileged souls who deserve to experience the simple joy of wearing new clothes.

The question arises – if we can indulge in new clothes, why can't they? It's a disparity we can bridge, a change we can bring about together. Your contribution, no matter how small, can weave smiles onto the faces of many during the days of Pujo. Every gesture of generosity creates a chain reaction of positivity.
