*This World Environment Day (5 June 2026), we at Barrackpore Avenue Women’s Cultural & Social Welfare Society didn't just plant trees; we rooted ourselves deeper into our community.*
We were thrilled to host a very special initiative at our Bachpan Boys Home which turned out to be the highlight of the day. The moment that touched all our hearts, was seeing the boys from Bachpan Boys Home learn how to carefully place a sapling into the soil and the pride in their smiles when they finished, is what this work is all about.
Seeing them connect with the seniors at our Old Age Home was also pure magic.
Students from the Sacred Heart Day High School joined us with so much enthusiasm, eager to give back to the environment. Their interaction with the aged residents, as they planted saplings side-by-side, was a beautiful sight. It was truly a bridging of generations through a shared love for Mother Earth.
A huge, heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated, made a memory and helped us make a difference. Together, we are building a greener, more compassionate future.
