Proud moment for Gram Samriddhi Foundation as we sign an agreement today ie 20th May 2026 with Coconut Development Board for the establishment of a Coconut Nursery at Sandeshkhali.

The initiative will serve as a model centre for nursery development, promoting scientific production technologies, field demonstrations, and farmer capacity building. It aims to strengthen sustainable livelihoods, enhance coconut cultivation practices, and empower farmers with modern knowledge and skills for long-term rural prosperity.

Gram Yatra

On 18th April 2026, a team from Lions Club Roshni visited Korakati village in Sandeshkhali block, Sundarbans, with our Founder Trustee Archana Agarwal as part of Gram Yatra to witness our sustainable development work.

It was inspiring for them to see how initiatives like organic farming, rainwater harvesting ponds, fruit tree plantation and biogas plants are bringing positive change to rural communities and strengthening livelihoods.

We are grateful to Ms. Alka Khanna, President, Lions Roshni, for her support and commitment to partner with us in furthering these impactful initiatives.

Together, we move forward towards building self-reliant and sustainable villages.

Gram Samriddhi activities have been recognised, featured and published in TheBetterIndia e-magazine, world's largest positive & solutions-based content driven impact platform for stories of change, inspiration, hope and resilience.

Thank you for this recognition which builds trust, strengthens credibility and amplifies the voices of the farmers we work alongside every day.

In the Sundarbans village of Jeliakhali, farmers dug ponds on their land to store rainwater, protect soil, and improve access to water through the dry season. Read how it unfolded.
