ABWU School welcomes girls to its Upper Primary classes and is currently accepting applications.

We follow the Madhyamik curriculum and offer a range of specialized activities to support all-round development, including:
• Karate training for self-defense by a trained expert
• Spoken English classes
• Additional computer classes every Saturday

We especially encourage dropout girls to return and continue their education up to
at least the Madhyamik level.

Residential support is also available for girls in need, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.

Let’s work together to empower education for girls and build a brighter future for them

📚 Give a girl the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed.

Yesterday, the students of ABWU School participated in an inspiring 'Linocut' printmaking workshop held at the Imami Center of Arts. The session was conducted by two talented young artists from Santiniketan — Ms. Sweety Chakma and Mr. Raja.
What made the workshop even more special was that Sweety is a former resident of ABWU Children’s Home. After studying art at Santiniketan University, she has grown into a promising artist — yet she continues to stay connected to ABWU and give back to her alma mater.
It was a proud and heartwarming moment for ABWU to see one of our own return to inspire the next generation.
Our sincere thanks to Dr. Paula Sengupta , artist academician and curator who took the initiative to have the workshop.

🇮🇳 26th January | Republic Day Celebration at ABWU

On 26th January, ABWU celebrated Republic Day with great elan and patriotic fervour.

The highlight of the celebration was truly inspiring — the Indian National Flag was unfurled by a courageous senior lady resident of ABWU, a cancer survivor whose strength and resilience moved everyone present.

Her presence and spirit reminded us of the true meaning of courage, hope, and the values our Republic stands for.

✨ A day filled with pride, gratitude, and inspiration

Yesterday (13 January), a group of elders from the All Bengal Women’s Union (ABWU) Old Age Home experienced a truly unforgettable day at DRR Studio, Rajarhat, during the live shoot of Bangla SAREGAMAPA 🎶

The visit was graciously forwarded and coordinated by Mr. Arun Bhattacharya, along with his SP66SWS friends — Godhuli, Probir, and Sagarika. Twenty vibrant elders, aged between 70 and 92, lit up the studio with their smiles, enthusiasm, and youthful spirit — proving that joy has no age ❤️

Thanks to the kind support of Mr. Sujay from Zee TV, the elders were warmly welcomed and beautifully hosted with a healthy breakfast, nourishing lunch, and evening tea. Popular host Abir Chatterjee greeted them with great warmth. Speaking on behalf of all, Pritha expressed heartfelt gratitude for this magical experience and presented handmade greeting cards and desk calendars to the Zee TV team and judges. Touched by the moment, director Abhijit Sen even promised to invite them again 🌸

Special thanks to Mr. Prithpal and Mr. Dipen Banerjee for generously sponsoring the transport arrangements for the elders’ safe pick-up and drop.

Moments like these remind us that love, respect, and inclusion can make hearts feel young again ✨💛
