🤝 MALDA UNITY DEAF PROGRAM

Date: 6 September 2026
Time: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

The West Bengal Forum of the Deaf Society (WBFDS) conducted an awareness lecture for the Deaf community in Malda.

Theme: Deaf Life, Unity & Development

The program focused on:

Deaf community awareness
Unity and leadership
Life goals and community development
The vision and mission of WBFDS

At the meeting, the Deaf people of Malda agreed to support a 6-month Demo Governing Body (GB) as a temporary democratic body to build unity and prepare for the new Malda District Association of the Deaf.

South 24 Parganas Association of the Deaf

We are happy to share that the registration process of the South 24 Parganas Association of the Deaf is moving forward successfully.

On 28 June 2026, we attended a lecture and awareness session on the Society Registration Rules, Regulations, Memorandum of Association (MOA), education, unity, and leadership.

We sincerely thank the West Bengal Forum of the Deaf Society for their guidance and support throughout this process.

REPORT ON DEAF ORGANIZATIONS IN WEST BENGAL

West Bengal currently has:

11 State-Level Deaf Organizations

10 Registered District Deaf Associations (NGOs)

18 Districts without a Registered Deaf NGO or with No Registration Update
