Celebrating Autism Month with Stories from life -
We witnessed the journey of little Shreyan, restless, rigid, unable to communicate, full of anxiety and insecurities . Now he is happy child , who can express his needs and understands others and cares for those around! We still remember how he would cry every day if his parents were even two minutes late after the final school bell. But today, this ten-year-old boy has learned to handle unforeseen situations with much greater ease.
He especially loves doing things in his own way and has developed a deep interest in drawing.
Initially, he would only colour pictures drawn by others. Over time, he began attempting to draw by observing. Today, he creates drawings from his own imagination. At times, he asks for a topic and explores it with curious eyes. When something captures his interest, he expresses it in his own unique and thoughtful way.
His drawings often feel like deep interpretations of the world he observes in his daily life. The precision and detailing in his work are truly remarkable and rare to see.
This Autism Awareness Day, 2nd April 2026—we arranged a place and Shreyan was asked to draw something. He drew a bike—and even tried to write on it. Although he is still learning to write, he makes sincere efforts to recreate what he sees, almost as if he is expressing his thoughts through both images and words.
