NILIMA FOUNDATION is a non-profit charity organization, registered under Section 8 of Government of India Company Acts 2013 with Registration No. It was established in 2021 by NRI Sanjoy Nath living in New York City, USA, with a purpose to serve the poor, particularly women, who are devastated by the COVID-19 Pandemic, lost their livelihoods and living hungry. NILIMA FOUNDATION provides vocational
training and financial help in the form of small working capital as seed money to the individuals or groups who wants to get involved in income generating activities organized by local NGOs, social workers & social organizations who are working with NILIMA FOUNDATION as partners. NILIMA FOUNDATION’s work model creates rural & urban jobs and help poor families, particularly women, to become financially self-sustaining.
✔ WE ARE DIFFERENT FROM OTHER NGOs
NILIMA FOUNDATION does not donate any cash money to the poor directly, although few exceptions are there. It offers refundable seed money on soft term in the form of small working capital. This seed money helps the poor to start their own business and empower them economically and socially by creating self-reliance and economic sustainability. The beneficiaries enjoy the benefits of the refund of the seed money on very soft terms. NILIMA FOUNDATION aims to promote self-sufficiency of the poor people, particularly, the women.
