The World Karate Council Mkyokushin proudly continues the mission of spreading authentic Kyokushin Karate across the globe, uniting martial artists through discipline, respect, courage, and lifelong friendship.
Leading this vision is Hanshi Shivaji Ganguly (9th Dan Black Belt), one of India's most respected Kyokushin pioneers. A direct disciple of Sosai Mas Oyama, Hanshi Shivaji Ganguly has dedicated more than four decades to developing Full Contact Karate in India. His unwavering commitment played a historic role in promoting Kyokushin throughout the country, and in 1991, he had the privilege of welcoming Sosai Mas Oyama to India for the iconic Oyama Cup, a landmark moment in Indian Kyokushin history. Through his leadership, thousands of students and instructors have carried forward the true spirit of Kyokushin both nationally and internationally.
