The devastating floods in Assam have affected 8 lakh+ people, submerged hundreds of villages, and displaced countless families. Many are struggling without access to food, clean drinking water, shelter, and essential medicines.

Today, we remember the courage, sacrifice, and unbreakable spirit of the heroes of the Hul Rebellion of 1855. Led by Sidhu Murmu and Kanhu Murmu, along with countless brave Santhal men and women, Hul became a timeless symbol of resistance against oppression and the fight for dignity, justice, and self-determination.

Their voices continue to inspire generations to stand united, preserve our identity, and honour the values of courage and resilience.

May their legacy continue to guide us toward justice, unity, and pride in our heritage.
