Sukanta Pally Aponjon Welfare Society is a registered Non-Governmental Organization founded by like minded individuals.Our objective is to support the less-fortunate section of our society,focusing on Children's Education,Nutrition,Women Health & Hygiene. Our Vision:
To help create a society where every child has access to education and nutrition; women in marginalized communities are empowered a
nd self-reliant by eradicating their menstruation hygiene challenges and taboos. Our Mission:
• Facilitate and sponsor under-privileged children’s education by supporting fees, tuition needs, books, stationaries and other necessities
• Help ease menstruation challenges in marginalized communities and rural areas by providing female hygiene products and health education
• Establish small-scale female hygiene product manufacturing units to support these communities
• Support different institutions by providing necessary items including groceries, clothing, hygiene and daily use products
To support the mission our objective is to raise funds through various channels including member contributions and patron donations. Our 2021 target:
• Sponsor atleast 5 under-privileged children to help them continue education and provide support as needed
• Continue providing female hygiene products and health information to women in marginalized society, help break the silence and taboo around menstruation
• Setup one small scale female hygiene product manufacturing unit to ensure availability at a cheap price
Our 2020 Highlights:
• Distribute Puja gifts/ clothes, Groceries and other food items at Belmuri Shanti Dham Orphanage
• Provide Female Hygiene product (Sanitary napkins), Clothes, Grocery and other food item at Shabar Gram, Purulia (remote village, about 75 km away from Purulia Town)
• Distribute groceries and other food items at St. Ann Old Age Home, North 24 Parganas
• Provide winter blankets, food items and groceries at Ma Manasha Old age home
• Supply clothes, sanitary napkins, soaps, hand sanitizers, groceries and other food items in Basanti area, South 24 Pargana; which was devastated in Amphan cyclone
• Provide Text books, stationaries (as requested by the recipients), food items and health drink powder to students whose overall household income have been impacted by Covid hardships and were having difficulty to sustain studies due to monetary issues.
• Supply sanitary napkins, groceries and other food items to students of Pranab Kanya Ashram, Hooghly
• Sponsor lunch for 100 kids and distribute sanitary napkins and food items at Rameswarpur village
• Provide groceries and food items (as requested) to Iswar Sankalpa, home for specially-abled women
