Normally humans have 46 chromosomes, but people with Down syndrome have 47.
This extra chromosome affects how the body and brain develop.
People with Down syndrome may have: • Unique facial features
• Developmental delays
• Some health challenges
But they can also learn, work, play sports, and live meaningful lives with the right support ❤️
