Rotary Club of Amelia Kolkata organised #মেধাবৃত্তি
, an unique project of giving Scholarship to meritorious students ranging from class 9 to Higher Studies coming from less privileged section of society who in turn will again start giving Scholarship to new meritorious students coming from the same section.
This vicious cycle is going on for last 25 years & nearly 18 Doctors & 72 Engineers total 4346 students have been benefitted & settled different corners of the World till date with this Scholarship. This is a
September Month has been declared as the াক্ষরতা month, so Sri Mohanananda Brahmachari (মেধা- বৃত্তি) was organised on 14th September, 2025 at Rotary Sadan supported by Ex students of Seva Mandir ( Passed Out Medha Brtti Awardee Students)
Distric Governor Elect Rtn Tapas Bhattacharjee, Eminent Educationist & Dr Souriv Chakraborty Second in-Command And Chief Medical Officer ITBPF (Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force -- obviouslyEx Student) graced the occasion with their presence.Their speeches enlightened us.
The programmed started offering flowers & tribute to Swami Mohonanandaji Maharaj.
46 students have been given Medha Britti Award this year out of which 20 Girls, 4 minority, 2 Cancer Survivors, 4 Thallesemic Children, 5 Medical & 3 Engineering Students, those who canot efforts their studies due to financial crunch. Receiving the Financial support to continue their studies, trying their best to adopt literacy in life in Rotary Literacy Month & fulfill their Dreams.
