📚 From a quiet corner in Sundarbans, dreams are slowly finding their voice
Anish Memorial Library, Sundarbans — A Journey Taking Shape
What began as a humble initiative at Jhorkhali, Shibranj Bazar, is now steadily evolving into a meaningful space of learning and opportunity for our children.
Over the past weeks, we have witnessed a heartening transformation. The Anish Memorial Library & Skill Development Centre, an initiative of Sadhan Satya Welfare Trust (SSWT), is now actively being utilized by beneficiaries. Children are spending time with books, developing reading habits, and slowly building confidence in their own abilities.
The presence of computers, established in the loving memory of Late Dr. Amul Kanthi De, has opened a new window for digital exposure—many of these children are experiencing technology for the very first time.
This initiative has been thoughtfully strengthened and transformed with the inspiration and support extended in memory of Late Smt. Dhira Choudhury, whose vision continues to guide this effort.
We remain deeply grateful to the All India NGO Welfare Association and respected Shri Tapas De Mahashaya for their continuous encouragement and support to SSWT throughout this journey.
Our sincere thanks also go to Shri Amal Nayek, who has taken up the role of a local guardian, ensuring the day-to-day upkeep and nurturing of this space with dedication and care.
This project is gradually becoming more impactful for our beneficiaries—growing not just as a library, but as a platform of access, exposure, and aspiration.
We are sharing a few glimpses from the recent days with all our well-wishers, patrons, and friends who have stood beside us.
Your continued support and association with SSWT empower us to turn such social initiatives into reality.
Every small contribution builds a bigger dream.
