Health Check-up & Blood Donation Initiative by Newtown AE Block Social & Welfare Association

The Newtown AE Block Social and Welfare Association successfully organized a Health checkup & Cancer Awareness Program along with a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp 2025 on 15th & 16th November, 2025, in collaboration with Balmer Lawrie & Co. Ltd. under their CSR initiative. The event was held at the AE Block Association Office & Puja Ground, with enthusiastic participation from residents and well-wishers across the locality.

This noble initiative was aimed at promoting community health consciousness, encouraging voluntary blood donation, and spreading awareness on early detection and prevention of cancer and lifestyle diseases. Free medical check-ups and consultation facilities were provided to the attendees, helping them understand the importance of regular health monitoring.

Blood donation plays a vital role in saving lives, and through this camp, many responsible citizens came forward to contribute selflessly. Their participation stands as a shining example of community spirit and human compassion. The message “Your Health, Our Priority — Donate Blood, Save Lives” resonated strongly throughout the programme.

The event also featured motivational speeches and guidance from doctors and guests, emphasizing the need for collective responsibility toward a healthier society. Special thanks were extended to all volunteers, doctors, donors, and supporting organizations for making this initiative meaningful and impactful.

The Newtown AE Block Social & Welfare Association remains committed to continuing such community welfare initiatives in the future and encouraging citizens to adopt a healthier lifestyle and social responsibility.

Together, we care. Together, we can save lives.
