It was a privilege to attend the Annual Teachers’ Day Celebration organised by the Rotary Club of Calcutta Amory.
The event was a heartfelt tribute to teachers who dedicate their lives to nurturing young minds, inspiring hope and shaping the future. I was honoured to be part of an occasion that recognised the invaluable contribution of educators and celebrated their commitment to creating lasting change.
The Club felicitated two inspiring teachers from Dum Dum Sarvodaya Balika Vidyapith:
• Mrs. Parijat Ghosh
• Mrs. T**i Ray
Mrs. Snigdha Sen Mandal, Teacher-in-Charge, was also felicitated for her exceptional leadership, dedication to the school and efforts to create new opportunities for its students. Her initiative in developing a meaningful CSR network is a wonderful example of how collaboration, compassion and committed leadership can strengthen education.
The ceremony also included the presentation of scholarships to two deserving students—reaffirming Rotary’s commitment to supporting education and empowering young minds.
A teacher does much more than teach a lesson. A teacher inspires, guides, believes and quietly changes lives.
Grateful to have attended this meaningful celebration and to witness the spirit of “Service Above Self” in action.
The programme was graced by DG Rtn. Tapas Bhattacharya; DLCC PDG Rtn. Shyamashree Sen, AG Rtn. Rajana Muttsuddi; AG Rtn. Sunando Sen , Advisor (Thalassemia Committee )PP Rtn. Subhojit Roy
Special thanks to Rtn. Goutam Mandal, President; Rtn. Partha Sengupta, Club Foundation Chair; and Rtn. Amit Das, President-Elect and all the members
