JCS ARSU Unit at the 3rd Pre-Bwisagu Celebration!

Today, we proudly took part in the 3rd Pre-Bwisagu Celebration at Janata College Serfanguri, and what a vibrant day it was!

From showcasing our rich culture through Kocha Rabha traditional dance, music, and performances, to serving up some delicious homemade ethnic dishes at the Food Fest – our unit was fully immersed in the spirit of Bwisagu!

Big thanks to everyone who visited our stall and supported our efforts. Let’s keep our culture alive and thriving!

Rest in Peace, Pungja Mushahary

Deeply saddened by the tragic loss of Pungja Mushahary, a student of Janata College, Serfanguri. Her untimely passing in an elephant attack is a heartbreaking reminder of the ongoing human-wildlife conflict.

May her soul rest in peace, and may her family find strength in this difficult time.

Pungja Mushahary, a student of Janata College, Serpanguri, tragically lost her life after being attacked by an elephant in the morning. She was from Dumbruguri village in the Gongia area of Kachugaon division under Kokrajhar district.

Unfortunately, this isn't an isolated incident. There have been other reported cases of elephant attacks resulting in fatalities, particularly in regions with human-wildlife conflict. These incidents highlight the need for measures to prevent such conflicts and ensure the safety of both humans and wildlife.
