After having a series of discussion with Civil society, social activist, intellectual. about the people living under hardship due to extreme poverty who didn't have an access of their basic needs such as Education, Healthy nutrition, Sanitation etc. most of the people can't afford their medical expanses can't afford their studies which leads them to suffer. Recently few months back National Archer

miss Gahela Boro was left to die at home due to extreme poverty there family couldn't took her to AIIMS New Delhi for further treatment, the Discovery Club, ABSU, BTC administration, along with Reports of Kokrajhar took up the case and Started Raising fund for National Archer later when the news got viral Ministry of sports came forward for help and another Case a child from Raimona Gossaigou and another from Bishmuri Kokrajhar, 27 years old women a Cancer patient from Chandrapara, Discovery club(NGO) along with ABSU, DPM of NRHM and Reports we raised few amount money and sent them to GMCH for their treatment, 50 years old women from Bismuri kokrajhar Gyne infection patient 20 liters of water and 12 kg of tumor has been removed from her stomach she was treated at RNB civil hospital kokrajhar only and there are many more lots of cases coming forward who needs our help, after having a series of talk we have came to a conclusion that a permanent charity organization should be Formed to helped the needy one. on 19 September 2017 a Charitable organisation to provide Humanitarian Aid to the needy people was executed and named as THE PEOPLES AID with the motive to serve people , to provide and promote Brotherhood, Livelihood and Equality among the people

🚨 URGENT APPEAL TO SAVE A CHILD’S LIFE 🚨

Pabitra Rishi, a 14-year-old boy from Kokrajhar, has suffered a severe electric shock near a cremation ground and is now fighting for his life. He is in critical condition.

đź’” Pabitra comes from a financially struggling family. His mother, Mrs. Moni Narzary, works as a housemaid and is unable to bear the overwhelming cost of his treatment.

🏥 He is currently admitted to Kokrajhar Medical College, but doctors have advised that he must be immediately shifted to Guwahati Medical College & Hospital (GMCH) for advanced care. This life-saving transfer and treatment will require significant funds — far beyond what the family can afford.

NGO Appeals for Sustainable Approach in Kokrajhar-Gelephu Railway Project

Kokrajhar, March 27, 2025: The People’s Aid, a Kokrajhar based NGO has urged the authorities to take environmental conservation measures in the construction of the upcoming Kokrajhar-Gelephu railway line, which is set to enhance trade and connectivity between Assam and Bhutan.

In a memorandum submitted to the District Commissioner of Chirang on March 26, the NGO acknowledged the economic benefits of the railway project but expressed concerns over its ecological impact, particularly large-scale deforestation in Chirang district. The region’s forests are home to diverse wildlife and indigenous communities that depend on natural resources for their livelihoods.

To mitigate environmental damage, the organization has proposed several key measures, including minimizing deforestation through alternative route planning, conducting an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) with public participation, implementing a large-scale afforestation program, and creating wildlife corridors to protect endangered species.

Local conservation groups and environmental activists have backed the NGO’s appeal, stressing that sustainable infrastructure development is essential for preserving biodiversity while promoting economic progress.
