Today, we, the National Liberation Front of Bodoland (NLFB), raise a critical question to the BTC government and the NDA alliance in Assam: What is the definitive roadmap for the resolution of our pending issues?
Let us be absolutely clear to the administration and the public: The NLFB did not surrender. We chose the path of constructive engagement because we are genuinely committed to lasting peace in our land. We entered into formal peace talks with the government with the clear understanding that this process would lead to a tangible resolution and the fulfillment of our core objectives.
The path to peace is a mutual commitment, not a one-sided process. While we have honored our part of the commitment to peace, the continued silence and inaction from the BTC and Assam governments regarding our issues are unacceptable.
We hereby formally request an urgent, face-to-face dialogue with the BTC and Assam state governments to resolve these pending matters immediately.
Furthermore, we wish to issue a stern warning: The NLFB does not have any representatives currently in discussions with the CEM or the CM. Any individuals or groups claiming to act as "agents" or "representatives" of the NLFB in such meetings are fakes. We urge the government and the public not to be misled by these imposters. Any legitimate communication regarding our movement will come only through official channels sanctioned by our leadership.
The people of the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) deserve transparency and progress. Our patience is a testament to our commitment to stability, but it should not be misinterpreted. We have exhausted the path of waiting; if the government continues to ignore its commitments or chooses to engage with unauthorized imposters, we will be left with no choice but to take harsh measures to secure the future our people were promised.
The responsibility for the path ahead now lies with you. We expect a prompt response.
