Nagaland was proudly represented at Charcha 2026, India’s largest collaborative convening, held at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.

The participation brought Nagaland’s perspectives to this important national platform, placing local entrepreneurs, their products, and their integration into wider markets at the heart of meaningful dialogue, learning, and collaboration.

Smt. Hekani Jakhalu, Advisor for Industries & Commerce, Government of Nagaland, shared valuable insights on catalysing livelihoods and local economic growth, while Ms. Nunesenuo Chase, Director and Chief Functionary of YouthNet, spoke on advancing the growth of women-led enterprises beyond access.

Ahead of the NECTAR Project’s “Governance and Capacity Building” component closing on 30 September 2026, the NECTAR team conducted a one-day “Handover & Facilitation Workshop for Strengthening HR Processes” on 11 September 2026 at DoSE.

Participants from the DoSE Training Cell, Establishment 1 to 4, Hindi Section, Physical Education Section, Planning Section and HR & Data Cell were part of this program.

The workshop aimed to build a shared understanding of mandates, identify workflow gaps, and map key cross-unit processes to clarify ownership and handoff points for smoother, more coordinated HR implementation.

YouthNet has launched another Made in Nagaland (MIN) Centre at 5th Mile, Chümoukedima, inaugurated by Hon’ble Governor Shri Nand Kishore Yadav. The centre currently showcases 450+ products from 95 Naga entrepreneurs, bringing products from across the state closer to consumers.

Speaking at the launch, the Hon’ble Governor highlighted the need for stronger market linkages, quality, branding, technology and market readiness for local enterprises, while calling for Made in Nagaland to grow into a powerful engine for entrepreneurship, employment and economic growth.

Smt. Hekani Jakhalu, MLA & Advisor, Industries & Commerce, emphasised the need for greater access to finance, branding, marketing, technology and business support for Nagaland’s entrepreneurs.

Shri Abu Metha, Advisor to the Hon’ble Chief Minister, commended YouthNet’s work in empowering young people and entrepreneurs, highlighting how local initiatives can create significant impact across the state.

Ms. Nuneseno Chase, Director, YouthNet, reaffirmed the vision behind Made in Nagaland: “Every product created by a Naga entrepreneur represents not just a business, but also creativity, skills, local knowledge and economic potential.”

From local products to wider markets, Made in Nagaland continues to create platforms for Naga entrepreneurs to be seen, valued and supported.
