🌱 Cultivating Nature, Growing Futures
The Eco-Consciousness Project, organised by Green Kerala Volunteers, is a two-year initiative designed to transform school grounds into biodiverse fruit forests while nurturing environmental responsibility among young minds.
Envisioned to reach 14 schools across Kerala, the project aims to engage 500+ student volunteers, plant 1,500+ fruit-tree saplings and deliver 42 experiential eco-consciousness sessions.
Rotary Cochin Central is proud to partner in this initiative, supporting its commencement across seven schools.
The journey has now been kick-started with a hands-on planting activity at the Indian Navy’s Signal School, Kochi—bringing together volunteers and participants to turn environmental awareness into meaningful action.
With the launch setting the momentum, the project will soon move into Phase 1 across the identified schools through nature-club outreach and the formation of student squads who will help nurture and care for these living classrooms.
Together, we are helping young minds connect with nature, take responsibility and grow a greener future. 🌿
