Some evenings are about competing. Others are about showing up together, cheering wholeheartedly and creating memories along the way. Tarang 2026 gave us all three!

Rotary Cochin Central participated enthusiastically in Tarang 2026, the inter-Rotary talent festival hosted by the Rotary Club of Cochin Downtown on 8 August 2026 at Gokulam Convention Centre.

From the performances and competitions to the preparation and encouragement behind the scenes, the evening reflected the creativity, fellowship and team spirit of our Rotary family.

We were delighted to receive the Highest Participation Award, while Ajit and Bindu were recognised with the Best Couple Photo award in the online competition.

More than the results, Tarang was a celebration of participation, shared experiences and the friendships that make Rotary special.

Driving Impact Together! 🌍🤝

A proud moment as Impact Creators Cochin (ICC) for Rotary Year 2026–27 was officially inaugurated by District Governor Rtn. Chacko at IMA House, Kaloor.

ICC brings together Rotary leaders across the Cochin region with a shared vision to strengthen Membership, support The Rotary Foundation, enhance Public Image, and deliver impactful service projects under the inspiring theme: “To Impact Lives Through Service."

The event featured insightful sessions on Polio Eradication, Public Image, Membership Development, and the road ahead for Rotary in our region.

A special moment of pride for Rotary Cochin Central as District Deputy Director Rtn. Rakesh Rajan, during his session on Public Image, appreciated our club's social media presence and highlighted our page as having the highest number of followers in the district. This recognition motivates us to continue sharing Rotary's story and inspiring more people to join us in service.

A proud recognition for dedicated service

Rtn. Biju John of Rotary Cochin Central was honoured at the RI President’s Recognition for Rotarians – Zone 5 programme, held on 13 August 2026 at Hyderabad.

The recognition was presented by RI President Rtn. Yinka Babalola in acknowledgement of Biju’s sustained contribution to the Parpidam Housing Project.

Initiated during the Rotary year 2022–23 under the leadership of then District Governor Rtn. Rajmohan Nair, Parpidam has continued through the support of Rotary District 3205, participating Rotary Clubs and the Kochouseph Chittilappilly Foundation.

As the key link connecting the District, the Foundation, participating Clubs and beneficiaries, Biju has played an important role in coordinating the project and helping it move forward across the district. His tireless efforts have ensured the successful implementation of the project across the district, resulting in the construction of over 1,000 homes over the last many years, including last year in District 3205, restoring hope, dignity, and security to countless deserving families.

Rotary Cochin Central congratulates Rtn. Biju John on this well-deserved recognition and celebrates his steadfast commitment to service.

An evening when the microphones kept changing hands, the audience joined in, and even the dance floor found a few unexpected stars! 🎶

Rotary Cochin Central’s Musical Night, presented by Fireside Teams Oval & Decagon on 14 August 2026, brought members and families together for an evening filled with music, laughter and fellowship.

From individual performances and duets to spontaneous group singing and dancing, the evening was less about who was on stage and more about everyone becoming part of the celebration.

A memorable Family Meet—and a lovely reminder that fellowship sometimes needs nothing more than good music and people willing to join in.

Leadership grows stronger when we learn together.

Our Club Assembly was successfully conducted under the guidance of our Assistant Governor Rtn Jayakrishnan Nair, providing an excellent platform to review our progress, align our goals, and strengthen our plans for the year ahead.

With valuable insights, practical suggestions, and inspiring discussions, the session reaffirmed our commitment to Service Above Self and motivated every member to work together towards creating a greater impact in our community.

Learning, Leadership & Service in Action! 💙💛

The Board of Directors of Rotary Cochin Central came together for an engaging and insightful Club Officers Learning Seminar (COLS)—a session focused on strengthening leadership, enhancing club administration, and preparing ourselves to serve our community with greater impact.

A heartfelt thank you to our trainer Rtn. Sanjeev Samuel for an inspiring and interactive session. He shared practical insights, valuable perspectives, and real-life examples that encouraged meaningful discussions and left every participant better equipped for the year ahead.

As we continue our Rotary journey, sessions like these remind us that strong clubs are built by leaders who never stop learning.

💧 A Gift of Clean Water. A Legacy of Love.

Rotary Cochin Central is honoured to donate a water purifier to the Urban Community Health Centre, Thevara, ensuring access to safe drinking water for patients, visitors and healthcare staff.

This meaningful contribution was made by Rtn. Vipin Panikkar and Ann Lekha Panikkar, in loving memory of Late Shri. K. R. Rajappa Panicker, beloved father of Ann Lekha Panikkar.

What makes this initiative truly special is that it transforms a cherished memory into a lasting service to the community. Every glass of clean water served will stand as a tribute to a life remembered with love and compassion.

Together, we continue to Create Lasting Impact—one meaningful act of service at a time.
