A Journey Through History
The Ernakulam Karayogam, a voluntary non-profit making, social and cultural organization, has completed 96 years of service to the community. The Karayogam celebrated Navathi (90 years of service) during the year 2015. It will not be inappropriate to trace the Karayogam’s colourful past hallmarked by selfless service to the community when it is entering its glorious 96t
h year of functioning. Founded by some of the then leading members of the Nair Community of Ernakulam as an association for promoting goodwill and amity among the various sections of the society, and the Nair community in particular, the Karayogam has now become a full-fledged organization with a number of welfare activities. The Karayogam was registered in the year 1925, under the then Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Act II of 1088 (M.E.). It now stands registered under the Travancore -Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Act XII of 1955. The following are the founder-members and the office-bearers of the Karayogam:
Established in the year 1925 by these illustrious gentlemen, their foresight and objectives have been amply demonstrated in the years thereafter by ever-expanding and widely acclaimed welfare activities.

ERNAKULAM KARAYOGAM will be completing its century in 2025 and proudly confirms that all its dream projects envisaged during its Navathi celebrations have been sucessfully completed. The vision for the centenary dream ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ envisioning the great Hindu International Hub keeping in mind the noble objective and welfare schemes of Ernakulam Karayogam are on the anvil.
