A New Chapter Begins!

On Friday, 3rd July, the Rotary Club of Cochin Metropolis gathered at CGH, Willingdon Island for a memorable Installation Ceremony filled with warmth, laughter, fellowship, and the true spirit of Rotary.

The evening marked the formal handing over of the mantle of leadership from Rtn. Jijo John to our new President, Rtn. Sudeep Z. Zachariah. We also proudly welcomed Rtn. Avira Tharakan as Secretary and Rtn. George Jose V. as Treasurer for the Rotary year ahead.

As we celebrate this new beginning, we also salute the outstanding leadership of President Rtn. Jijo John and Secretary Rtn. Cherian, whose dedication, vision, and tireless efforts made the past Rotary year one of growth, service, and lasting impact.

Here's to fresh ideas, stronger fellowship, meaningful service, and another incredible year of making a difference in our community.

Service, Sustainability & Smiles at Kusumagiri Autism School

On Friday, 19th June, members of Rotary Cochin Metropolis, along with our enthusiastic Rotractors from Model Engineering College, had the privilege of visiting Kusumagiri Autism School, Kakkanad.

As part of our commitment to creating sustainable impact, we donated a Solar Water Purifier, ensuring access to safe and clean drinking water for the students and staff. We also shared lots of goodies and joyful moments with the children.

What made the day truly special was the meaningful interaction with the students, teachers, and caregivers. It was an eye-opening and deeply moving experience, especially for our new Rotractors who were visiting the school for the first time. Their resilience, innocence, and warmth reminded us that inclusion, empathy, and understanding can create lasting change.

Some visits don't just touch lives—they transform perspectives. This was one such day.

Together, we serve. Together, we learn. Together, we make a difference.

Timeless Soiree 2026 was more than just an evening of music and celebration; it was a heartfelt fundraiser dedicated to sustaining this meaningful mission and touching countless more lives.

The Rotary Club of Cochin Metropolis proudly presented Timeless Soiree 2026, a grand fundraiser evening featuring the legendary RAdm Dr Nirmala Kannan on 22nd May 2026 at the IMA Hall, Cochin.

With 400+ wonderful attendees, the evening came alive through soulful performances, heartfelt moments, standing ovations, and the shared joy of coming together for a greater purpose.

From the electrifying atmosphere to the overwhelming support and love received, Timeless Soiree truly became an evening where memories met hope.

The Metropolis Kochi Biennale Experience

March 14th was truly a one-of-a-kind evening for the Metromates!

We kicked things off with warm hospitality at Suresh & Deepthi’s lovely home—over tea, snacks, and great conversations—before heading out to explore the magic of the Kochi Biennale. Guided by insightful art mediators, the experience was both fascinating and deeply enriching.

Our next stop, The Sacred Lotus, offered a refreshing glimpse into the modern side of Ayurveda—blending wellness with mindful breathing practices. A beautifully curated space by our very own Rtn. Ram & Sethu, it was an experience we truly cherished.

We wrapped up the evening at the charming HML Bungalow, hosted graciously by our Secretary Cherian and his wonderful wife Jiji. The warmth, the ambiance, and Jiji’s now-famous pudding made it the perfect ending to a perfect night!

Immersed in the vibrant spirit of Fort Kochi, we couldn’t help but understand why it continues to captivate visitors from around the world.
