It iS one of the famous festival of fireworks at Ernakulam. Vedikettu is a festival where different types of fireworks are being burnt, ranging from small to large ones inorder to please the Devi of the temple. It is usually in February or March and is the biggest "Fire Works" in Ernakulam district. The festival conducted by "Vadakke Cheruvaram"(North side of the Temple) is the most famous and at
tractive in the 8 day festival. Thalapoli is celebrated for 8 days . On the first day of the thalapoli maholsavam Vadake cheruvaram will conduct a sample vedikettu for testing the fire works made. After 2 days the main vedikettu will be conducted by
VADAKKE CHERUVAARAM
at 8 Pm after deeparadhana and at morning 3 am. This years (2012) "Thalappoli Maholsavam" is to be held on 4th of March.
